5.0 out of 5 stars Works for FTM beard growth, 11 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'm FTM transgender, 1.5 years on testosterone, and bought this to try and encourage facial hair growth as I could only grow a couple of stray dark hairs from T alone.

After 4 weeks I can see 20x more hairs under my chin & down the sides of my jaw with lots of new hairs changing from vellus to terminal, and my moustache is noticeably darker. Honestly wasn't expecting new growth this fast - the instructions say it'll take at least 3 months for results.

I'm also using less than the recommended dose since it's covering less surface area, so after 1 month I've still got 1/3rd of the first canister remaining. This supply will last at least 4 months.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap but good, 11 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Pros:
Lightweight and slim profile, brilliant for running & gym
Impressive sound quality for such cheap small headphones, good for music and audiobooks
Battery lasts a long time and charges very fast (~30 mins for full charge)
Super sensitive microphone & loud earpiece makes it great for hands-free calls
Easy to pair, works with phone & laptop
Coiled up they fit neatly in your pocket

Cons:
Battery degrades over time, my battery life has dropped from 10+ hours to 4 hours after ~6 months
Plastic around the tiny screw holding the earpiece to the headband tends to snap, but superglue is a permanent fix for this
Odd buzzing noise from the left earpiece when paired with a device

It's cheap but does the job, and unlike other budget headsets it doesn't stick out like tin cans jammed over your ears. The pros outweigh the cons and I'll definitely buy it again when the battery finally stops holding a charge.

1.0 out of 5 stars SCAM, 17 Dec. 2014
SCAM! Will not work on Windows 7 without additional driver software not included in the package. The software can be downloaded from Dynamode's website but you need to pay £20 for the full version. £1 dongle requires £20 software purchased separately to work??

Windows will detect it as a BT device and you can pair devices to it, but the devices don't actually function.

1.0 out of 5 stars Only lasted 4 months, 5 Feb. 2014

Bought in September 2013, first bulb failed in January 2014. Also not noticeably brighter or whiter than the cheap bulbs they replaced. Won't be buying these again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, 10 Oct. 2013

Got this to reduce the money I spend on meals rather than for slimming. It fills a hole at lunchtime, but doesn't satisfy hunger for long.

It tastes of artificial sweetener with a hint of chocolate.

No mixer ball inside, instead uses a mesh grill (removable for cleaning). It's a great design - makes the shake really smooth and creamy.

Tip to avoid powder stuck at the bottom: add water, flip it upside down, tap to loosen the powder, then shake.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for tenement flat / high ceilings, 10 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I live in a tenement flat in Glasgow with old draughty sash windows and high ceilings, and can't afford to use the central heating. After the big freeze last winter I got charged £130 a month by British Gas to keep my flat heated at 21 degrees. Working part-time and living alone, I had to turn it off in February and have no plans of using it ever again. Try enjoying life at 15 degrees in your living room.

Ordered this heater last month to start this year's war against winter. I only use it to heat up one room (the largest room in the house) and I keep it next to my desk, but it brings the room up from chilly to comfortable in half an hour even on its "low" setting, and brings it up to shorts-and-t-shirt temperature in an hour on full blast.

Using it on low for a few hours most evenings last month, it only added £15 to my electricity bill. I love it. Will see how it fares when frost and snow come along.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best handwarmer I've tried, 22 Dec. 2010
This review is from: Zippo Hand Warmer (Sports)
I work the doors in Glasgow and it's been absolutely bitter this winter, I've tried everything to stay warm. I've bought disposable handwarmers and the clicky-gel reusable ones without much success - the clickies only last 10 mins; Little Hotties go cold when they get damp. This handwarmer annihilates them.

It CAN be turned off after it's lit, btw - cover the holes in the cap to starve the wick of oxygen (and if it ever goes cold in your pocket, now you know why).

The reservoir holds appx 50ml of lighter fluid (two caploads) which should give you around 24 hours burning time. Once it's lit the whole thing heats up in seconds. I'm using cheap Swan lighter fluid available at most corner shops, 1.50 a can and works just great. A 100ml can will last for >48hrs of heat. After the initial cost of the handwarmer, that's 3 pence per hour of toasty hands...

Best value, best quality handwarmer available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable, solid, responsive, ideal for FPS's, 15 Oct. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I've been using this keyboard for 2 years now and I would buy it again in a flash. I use it for both gaming and typing and it does the job admirably; it's a dream to use compared to the dozen or so budget keyboards I've gone through.

The gamepad itself is very well designed. I play mostly FPS games and once you play with the gamepad you'll never go back to plain old WASD. All keys are easy to reach and smooth to press. The large, comfortable movement keys feel different enough from the rest of the pad that you always know your hand is in the right place. No more slipping to ESDF in the middle of a firefight. There are enough keys placed around the pad for almost every function in a FPS. Your CoD4/5 scores will start climbing like a beast when you don't waste time groping around the keyboard looking for your knife, flashbangs or grenades.

Another wonderful feature is that there is no Windows key in the gamepad. I don't need to explain that one. The capslock key is also gone, pushed way out so there's no chance of pressing it by accident.

The backlight is even and vivid, perfect for late night sessions of L4D. Light does not leak from between the keys as with cheaper backlit keyboards.

For normal typing the keyboard is what you'd expect; the keys are smooth and responsive, well suited to fast typers who crank out a lot of text. The numpad + integrated arrow keys is possibly the worst feature of the keyboard - you need to press Num Lock to get numbers, then press it again to get editing tools like Home/PgUp/End. It's a bit odd but you get used to it.
