Not The Highway Code: The Unofficial Rules Of The Road
Not The Highway Code: The Unofficial Rules Of The Road
by Ivor Baddiel
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious, 18 Dec 2010
Despite what the bad reviews state, I have to strongly disagree and say its probably one of the funniest books I've ever read. I came across this in Waterstones with my friend and for about 15 minutes we were giggling away to it then we thought its common courtesy that we buy it. Even up to the last page we were laughing to the fairly silly book.
I've already recommended it to several people which they agreed in how funny it actually was. Shame I haven't yet found a book like it.
A must buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun to play., 18 Dec 2010

This review is from: The Simpsons (PS3) (Video Game)
Fairly easy game to complete, just missing a few aspects of Simpsons hit n run, especially the 3D characters instead of cell shaded. Pretty fun, and is even 2 player!

It's a shame they couldn't put this on PS3 or a sequel, instead of the bad company malarkey, this game your sniper killed in one shot, and the guns and shooting was a lot better. This is a very good game considering it's EA. Veyr underrated.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good game, 18 Dec 2010
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Has definitely had hours put into making this, it is so detailed and realistic, actually makes it quite a scary experience. The realism is actually also a bad point to the game, because do people want games that symbolise boring aspects of real life or do they just want to have fun? The idea of having to keep friends and family in the game satisfied by visiting them is quite laborious. Also the driving aspect is quite dull where each car turns like its some sort of cruise ship.

In some sense the game is 1 step forward and 2 steps back from the likes of San Andreas or Vice City; ever so realistic, but less fun to play (to be honest the fact the other games were so good is how unrealistic they were, sometimes made hilarious).

The online section is a brilliant idea, but its a shame they couldn't put more focus on that. The story mode is quite good to play along, too, that's if you enjoy the driving and listening to Russian music. Shame they also got rid of the offline two-player mode.

A good buy to pass the time, and you will get alot of hours play out of this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good phone, at the beginning., 18 Dec 2010
Coming up to my 18 month anniversary with having this phone and I sure cannot wait to get rid of it.
I've had endless problems, first of all was a year ago, of which they did fix on the 3rd try, where when ever it would go cold (or sometimes not even cold) the whole screen would go fuzzy making it impossible to see, so you have to reset it. But as I say this was fixed within a month. However over the past 4 months, it has done similar to what my old Nokia n73 did before it, which is turn off for either no reason or the slightest of bangs, also requesting for another reset. Thirdly, on answering some phone calls it makes it so you cannot hear anything, so you have to hang up and ring back. Fourthly, when browsing the internet it randomly just closes the web browser.
Also the camera is a bit poor and the phone generally lags.

Some good points about the phone however is that, it does have a few nice bits such as the free maps with satnav, the mediocre web browser, the cool ways of text messaging and the ability to download apps on the store.

Such a good idea for a phone, but so buggy its hardly worth the money. Nokia should've given up after the 6230.
