I can't add much to what already has been said about this book. Ok, if you are not a grammar nerd, you might not find it especially appealing -- it's a grammar book afer all -- but if you feel like you keep making again and again the same mistakes, this approach to grammar could be one of the best ways to go.

I have the impression that this is a book written with native-speakers in mind, and perhaps not so suited for learners of English. But if you are beyond the most basic stages of the English language learning process you'll find it extremely useful. What's more, you'll find it incredibly funny, and that's not so common among grammar books. There are perhaps other books more handy when it comes to a quick query on a particular grammar topic but none of them will put a smile on your face at the same time, as "Woe is I" will.

This book is a rarety. It's a bit of a blend of a thesaurus and a thematic dictionary and it proves to be extremely useful if you are a Spanish speaker looking to improve and make your vocabulary much more accurate and expressive. It's a pity they haven't updated it as this is an edition from the mid-90's, and it would be really interesting to see it populated with some new common words and expressions. Nonetheless, this is a marvellous book that will bring your mastering of the English vocabulary to a whole new level.
