5.0 out of 5 stars PLUS 5 STARS FOR VIDEO....MINUS 5 FOR AUDIO., 6 Jun 2014
Must concur with others re audio.....no depth whatsoever....very tinnie.... got my copy in a box set here in OZ....obviously an issue worldwide. DVD sounded great....WTF! Video is absolutely stunning for a film of this ilk. I know Blu-ray attempts to create the original cinema experience, but surely the sound wasn't this awful. Audio is listed as LPCM 2.0, but in fact it's Dolby mono with the DVD in Dolby stereo...try and figure that one out! Chow Chow for Now Now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Langs masterpeice....an experience., 2 April 2014
This rates in my top 5 of all time......an absolutely amazing motion picture......Peter Lorrie is outstanding......the restoration has left the video (24fps) & audio (DTS-MA 2.0) where it belongs in the 30s & it looks & sounds lovely. A must for all lovers of cinema, not just horror/thrillers...marvellous extras. Chow Chow for Now Now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nasty little treat, 12 Oct 2013
Video & audio are excellent. This is 7.1 DTS-MA. So many new releases don't get this sound treatment...go figure. Vinnie is delicious. Chow Chow for Now Now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing audio, 12 Oct 2013
Visually its pretty damn good. Audio is by way of 5.1 DTS-MA. This will give your sound system a workout, with every channel blowing your tits off. The surrounds & LFE virtually never stop. This is benchmark......one the best I've ever heard. Chow Chow for Now Now.

3.0 out of 5 stars Audio ??????????????, 27 Sep 2013
Video wise...WOW. Audio wise...HUH!
Films 1 & 2 are not lossless. Listed as Dolby 5.1, when in actual fact their DTS 5.1.
US versions are a paint stripping LPCM 5.1.
Films 1 & 4 are listed as 2 discs ...they are not ..everything is on 1 50GB disc.
Awakening is both 2d & 3d versions. Together with a 7.1 DTS-MA track all on 1 disc.
Didnt notice any compression issues...would have to be low bitrates and they got away with it. Chow Chow for Now Now.

Why this amazing film hasn't had a Blu-ray release yet is beyond me. I'd wait until then. Chow Chow for Now Now.
