Might have missed the point but I think the game is a rip off, 5 Jan 2014

It may be that the the whole point of this game is collecting figurines and cards and that the PS3 game is just an additional 'nice to have'. If this is your take on it then stop reading this review.
My kids approached the purchase from the game angle as they were introduced to it by one of their friends. The game itself is fine but, in order to be able to progress, you need to keep buying the figurines (there are about 45 of them) at around a tenner each. These figurines have to be placed on a small podium which is connected to the PS3 via a USB cable and then kids can play the game in the role of that particular character. If your kids are mainly into collecting the figures then this is great but having to spend some 450 quid on getting maximum value from a kids video game seems like very cynical marketing to me.
Perhaps I'm doing the whole package an injustice but my youngest son was hacked off with it after a week when he realised that to enjoy it he was going to have to continue paying for the privilege of using it. Disappointing all round.
