4.0 out of 5 stars Sounds like his old man, 2 Dec 2013

I have really fallen in love with Prog Rock late in my years, fantastic musicianship, variety and music that reaches the limits. Sound of Contact fits the bill perectly, edgy and interesting rock but always musical. And Simon Collins, no mistaking his genes, brilliant drumming and spot on vocals.

If you like the softer side of Panic Room you will love this. Great musicianship and wonderful singing. What a voice!

4.0 out of 5 stars Typical Airbag, 2 Dec 2013

Once again I really enjoyed the Airbag relaxed style. This album probably has a slightly harder sound than the previous and two and is probably my least favourite of the trio but if you liked the first two you won't be dissappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Travel with Humour, 2 Dec 2013

Being from the land of Aus. I found this extremely entertaining. Robbie did a great job of humourising the not so beaten tracks across Britain. Gave me some ideas of things to do and see when I finally make it over there for a holiday.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well Balanced Prog, 15 Jun 2010
This review is from: Out of Myself (Audio CD)
Out Of Myself is my first venture into Riverside and a most rewarding one at that. I have come to Prog Rock late in life and am just loving this new venture into a big, melodious, intelligent and at times uplifting musical style. I am not so much into the metal side of prog but Riverside has managed to intersperse heavier musical sections into their songs but maintain a focus on melody and great musicianship. The lyrics are always prominant and important, as it should be.

The lead singer has a unique, mellow and at times haunting voice and after really warming to him I purchased his Lunatic Soul album which really does showcase his etheral vocal style. Out of Myself is a great album, I am looking forward to the arrival from Amazon of Riverside's second album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful early Pendragon, 15 Jun 2010
This review is from: The Window of Life (Audio CD)
Yet another fabulous Pendragon album from their earlier days. Lush orchestrations and well written, melodious songs. Very uplifting harmonies and arrangements, I am not so into Pendragon's more recent 'heavier' albums but these early productions are fabulous and somehow, Nick's vocals, as raw as they are just seem to work better with these bigger productions. There is even a musical reference to some early Moody Blues in one of the songs
