5.0 out of 5 stars Hard To Fault, 22 Nov 2012

Good quality piece of kit with excellent sound quality. iPhone/Pod, USB support both excellent too.

Gripes? Hard to find any but I would spend a few quid on better quality speaker cable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stoner rock at its very best, 27 Sep 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you like stoner rock (well, why wouldn't you ?) then this compilation is for you. A great mix of stuff (Solace, Bitchwax, Blind Dog, Lowrider etc) and hardly any filler.

If you don't like stoner rock you'll hate this so don't buy it. Put on some J Bieber or Beyonce or something similar instead and continue to live in ignorance of some of the BEST MUSIC EVER RECORDED !

5.0 out of 5 stars Straightforward and concise, 3 May 2010

Rasul's book echoes his simple no-nonsense approach in the Dragons Den: he isn't bothered about ego or self-importance - he actually seems to get a big kick out of doing business. His advice, which in the book is frequently in special "Shaf Says" boxes, sometimes seems obvious but that is his point: most of business is common sense.

The book is probably best read by those under 25 as the overall message is directed towards modern, youthful entrepreneurs. Those over that age, especially those trying to run a business in these trying times, will still find snippets of info and some of his comments on finance, balance sheets and debt are good reminders to us all that running a business ain't simple and we can all use every bit of help out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars As good as you could expect, 2 Sep 2004

Every Rush fan should own this. 8 good tracks played with gusto, skill and verve not usually found in men of their age. Highlight is Peart's drumming on "Seven and Seven Is", Lee's vocals on "The Seeker" and Lifeson's guitarwork throughout.
Refreshing to hear such a stripped out sound without the need for plinky-plonky keyboards or other ulterior motives.
I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that 5 stars are reserved only for Caress Of Steel. 'nuff said.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality, 19 July 2002

Following the wonderous "Soft Bulletin" was never going to be easy (witness Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac being merely reasonable following the peak of OK Computer) But they did it.
Fantastic multi-layered vocals, a persistent throbbing bass and some eclectic drumming make for an album that improves upon every airing. Wayne Coyne's melodramatic lyrics could easily sound laughable but you get the sense that he means every last word. Altogether a more mellow affair than Soft Bulletin, the album sees the band reaching their creative peak although it is a sign of the times that recording and production took almost 2 years.
Heartily recommended to anyone and everyone. I only hope that Grandaddy can be as successful making the follow up to The Sophtware Slump.
