4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but doesn't quite please like the first movie, 17 April 2006
Now don't get me wrong, this movie is good. It has great acting from Frankie Muniz (as always) and it's got a fairly good storyline, even Hannah from ex band S Club 7 doesn't act that bad. Butthere's just something missing. It's no way as good as the first one which had the lovely Hilary Duff in who doesn't star in this sequel and they really badly take the mickey out of England, way to much. Okay, it's funny to begin with but towards the end it begins to get really annoying and stupid. Pretty ridiculous. So don't pay loads of money for this DVD beacuse if you're expecting it to match up to the first film, I'm afraid you'll be dissapointed. But it's pretty good for a family film and if you've seen the first film you should have a look at it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cracking Film, 23 Mar. 2006
Nick Park has created a unique, fantastic, funny creation. Wallace and Gromit. And this film is not to be missed. A classic, clever and funny storyline that keeps everyone entertained, however old you may be. After setting up a buisness called Anti Pesto with his faithful companion Gromit capturing pesky rabbits that eat vegetables, threatening the annual vegetable competition, Wallace has an idea. He plans to change the rabbits way of thinking with his latest mind machine, telling them vegeatbles are bad. But things take a turn for the worst and a major problem occurs for Wallace and Gromit. A were rabbit is on the loose. And with vegetables going missing one by one, is the vegtable contest in jeapordy? What is the Were Rabbit? You'll just have to watch this fantastic film to find out. Cracking!

3.0 out of 5 stars What a let down!, 18 Dec. 2005
It was a real shame when I saw this film. I was expecting so much because of the amount of publicity and press that this film got. But it was a piece of cake for the two leading rolls. Such good actors are wasted in a film like this. The action and effects incredible, the storyline not great, the overall film not convincing and painful. It's worth checking out for the action and the talent but don't expect much. A real shame.

I was so fortunate to see him at the Brighton Centre on Friday 25th November 2005 and he was unbelievable. He never relates back to previous work. All of it is unique and new and believe me, not dissapointing. This DVD is a must buy for Lee Evans fans or for people who want a good laugh. Evans doesn't dissapoint. Buy it with confidence!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Creepy alien fun, 15 Nov. 2005
This is a very creepy film and seeing as I don't like aliens it really had the hairs standing up on my back. A superb movie that is quite different to the original and more modernised. Tom Cruise plays the divorced father of two who whilst looking after his kids the terror begins as they soon realise the world is now being attacked by aliens. Again, Spielberg has gotten away with a 12A. It's madness. Trust me when I say it would be better that 10's or under didn't see this film. It really is rather scary. Great fun to watch with some mates for a spooky night in. You can watch each others terrified faces and then laugh as they jump. Excellent fun. Buy, rent, just watch it! You won't be dissapointed

5.0 out of 5 stars Tissue Boxes At The Ready, 15 Nov. 2005
This film is truly wonderful. I was just mesmerised by the drama and story and it really does touch your heart. It sticks fairly close to the book about a young girl who has to go to a posh boarding school when her father is sent to war. If there is anything you need in this movie you have to forget about chocolates or drink. All you need is a huge box of tissues. It's really sad. Really well done and deserves to remain a family classic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Just a walk in the park, 15 Nov. 2005
This review is from: Jurassic Park [DVD] [1993] (DVD)
WOW! What an incredible piece of cinema history. This is amazing and is still stunning audiences worldwide. I love it and you'll love it. A group of scientists are sent to a remote Island to see a billionaires new theme park, full of real living, walking dinosaurs. But not everyone is true on the Island and soon the Dinousaurs are past the fences and they're hungry. The graphics are amazing and everything about this film will just stun you. The best in the trilogy!
The T-Rex scene is amazing. I still get scared when I watch it. The only thing I can't believe is how this film got away with a PG Rating. Another of Spielbergs ridiculous rating. How does he get away with it. He's brilliant but half of his films are 12 or below and they are quite scary. So, this film is another one that is not for the faint hearted. Jumpy, outstanding, a thrilling adventure. It's not just a walk in the park! Fabulous!

5.0 out of 5 stars CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS DVD!, 14 Nov. 2005
This review is from: Madagascar [DVD] [2005] (DVD)
I really can't wait for the release of this DVD. This film is amazing. The scenery is gorgeous, the characters are fabulous but the storyline at first makes you think 'what is this film gonna be like.' Don't be fooled by the story. It works really well and believe me you will be laughing right through. Every character has it's own unique way about them that is fuuny but you'll definately be laughing at the penguins. This film is at the top with Shrek and Wallace and Gromit:The Curse of the were Rabbit. Believe me, if you liked previous Dreamworks films (Shrek 2, Shark Tale, Wallace and Gromit e.t.c) you'll love this. Take my word for it and if you're still not convinced, just check out what other Amazon customers have had to say. Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. Definately one to have in your DVD collection. Finally, another animated film for all ages!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Truly Terrificly Terrifying!, 31 Aug. 2005
I stayed up late one night to watch this film with my dad. When it began we thought, this is going to be some kind of new teen horror film that doesn't even bring you near the edge of your seat. How wrong could we have been. We were both nearly falling off the edge of the seat. It was great fun. The acting is great and the terror is better. Two brothers are on a road trip on thier way to pick up a girl that one of the brothers is rather interseted in. They install a CB radio and decide it will be funny to imitate a girl to a trucker. They tell him to meet her in room 17 at a motel. The two brothers wait in room 18 and wait to here what happens when he finds out he's been set up. The result is not as funny as it sounds. The trucker kills the guy in room 17 and this leads to the two brothers being chased across the roads by a trucker who's nuts. Once they've picked up the girl, Veena, thinking that the trucker is out of the picture, they find out he's not so gone after all. The evnts that follow are brilliant, making this a classic to the thriller/horror collection. The alternate ending is worth checking out and the joyride feauturette is all about how they made Roadkill, showing you all different camera angles and chase sequences. But if you're not a true, thriller fan, it may be best to check the film out before you buy it. Excellent. Two big thumbs up!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not fantastic, but still good!, 19 Aug. 2005
This review is from: Elf [DVD] [2003] (DVD)
This film is a great christmas treat, but adults may find this film a little too much. Kids will love the humour and light hearted action, but it may be hard getting them to stay in there seat. This film is far to long for a family film, but once you get into it, you'll enjoy. Elf is basically about a little baby boy who was born in a childrens home. One night, on christmas Eve, Santa arrives to give presents to the little orphans. But the little baby boy crawls into Santas Sack and accidentally gets whisked off to the North Pole and becomes an Elf. But knowing he doesn't belong there in his later years, he heads to the Big Apple to find the truth about himself. Some good special feautures on the disk and enjoyable entertainment to keep the kids etertained. Parents-maybe try another film for yourselves!
