THE HAMPSHIRE TRIANGLE.
THE HAMPSHIRE TRIANGLE.
by Stephen N. Burton
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars more filth from Stephen Burton, 24 Jan. 2012
This is a triology of tree stories set in a triangle in Hampshire. This book is again very sexually explicit, and the 1st and 3rd stories are only suitable for the over 18s but each tale has a little twist and is linked in a quite subtle way. Would make a great channel 4 sunday night adult series

5.0 out of 5 stars better than KING, 26 Jun. 2010
This collection of short stpries is excellent, very easy reading and most have good twist. I have read several books of short stories by Stephen King but this (in my humble opinion) is far, far better. A real treat for any one who likes their stories slightly off-whack. Considering how long ago this was written it is remarkably modern Can't wait to get the 2nd volume.

4.0 out of 5 stars NICE ALBUM, 16 Mar. 2010
This review is from: Changing Winds (Audio CD)
Although not quite as good as the brilliant Woman in the Wings CD, this still has enough nice moments to warrant 4 stars. I am always surprised at how well Ms Prior writes and although a few tracks are a little pretentious there are some great tunes also

3.0 out of 5 stars differnt world, 10 Oct. 2009
As i reviewed with the volume 3 set of short stories this guy writes in a very old fashioned colonial style and likes to call the natives (mainly in Samoa) Greasy Niggers, all chinese are Chinkies and everyone whoi is not white & British is treated with the upmost contempt. If this is likely to upset you, then do not read

3.0 out of 5 stars Colonial view, 10 Oct. 2009
These stories by S. Maughan are very strange indeed, and if you are easily upsetr by the words Nigger or Chinky or Wop you would be well advised not to read them. He writes in a style of the old colonial masters who treat every 'native' with absolute contempt. It sure was a different world then!

5.0 out of 5 stars great tull album, 30 Mar. 2009
I really am a Tull fan and thought I had all their albums, but after reading Raymond Benson Essential Music book about Jethro Tull learnt about tis compilation of previously unreleased tracks. It is excellent and although a few are a 'bit silly' most are really great versions of the songs from their excellent LP Passion Play. Highly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Just superb, 25 July 2008
This review is from: Between the Wars (Audio CD)
I must admit to being a bit of an Al Stewart fan particularly his early few albums but after hearing this I can quite easily state this is his masterpiece. The lyrics are so 'adult' and interesting that I can not praise the album highly enough. Of the highlights,Night train to Munich is a spy story,Lindy comes to Town is the story of Lindberg's flight across the Atlantic,Life between the wars just a beautiful melody, Laughing into 1939 a poignant and terrific song, and the final instrumental Black Danube a great tune (loosely based on something by Gershwin?) The guitar and violin playing on the album is second to none and the whole feel of twenties/thirties is excellent. Buy this, play it at least 3 times and you'll be hooked

Pearl Necklace
Pearl Necklace
by Stephen N. Burton
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Very adult reading, 28 Mar. 2008
This review is from: Pearl Necklace (Paperback)
This is an extremely sexual book and is not reccommended for under 18s. The plot involves a man who goes off the rails into a sexual fantasy world, at the same time Southampton is hit by a series of rapes, and our man gets dragged into the seamy world of brothels. porn shops and strip joints. It has more twists than country lane.
