This review is from: Disco 4 (Audio CD)
..that damon albarn refused permission for boys & girls to be included here due to the psb's remix 'sounding too like the pet shop boys ' then he once again displays both a hubris & poverty of spirit that does him no favours. one wonders exactly *what* he expected a pet shop boys remix to sound like? will devoted blur fans (all 4 of them) respect his 'integrity'? & is really what's good for bowie & madonna not good enough for the mardy old gorilla? the bloated, balding fool.

..not to be contentious but i find this actually (that word- haha) the most pleasing episode of Disco since it's debut outing. worth it alone for the killers (U2 meet gloria gaynors' I am What I am- so gay it's past straight & on it's way to being lesbian) & mrs ritchies Sorry (confessional disco- you so know it started with it's a sin)... & that's not even counting the long forgotten joy of Dame Davids Hallo Spaceboy.

if you are one of the lily livered upset below who find this release insulting & PSB legacy diminishing, might i suggest upping your meds, putting on a decent set of headphones & just enJOYing this 'cause DISCO 4 is actually a glorious recollection of tracks the majority of non fans might never, ever have heard. i almost wish i was 1 of them & had all this brilliance ahead, waiting to touch me for the very first time.
