1.0 out of 5 stars Gratuitous violence, 20 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The author claims all the way through the book how he deplores violence and goes on to describe in graphic detail how he dispensed it over and over again.
I only did what I had to do was his claim like stamping on the head of an already unconciece guy.
More fool me for putting money in this thugs pocket by buying this self indulgent rubbish.
Best go now he's probably on his way round to give me a good kicking

1.0 out of 5 stars why did DJ Smithers bother, 25 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
having started the book it soon became apparent that this book is a very amateurish attempt at literature, the whole book revolves around the author recalling minute by minute meal by meal conversation by conversation holidays he had taken in Corfu.
I continued to read this trash in the hope that something of interest to me the reader would be recalled but no, it contains from page one until the last self indulgent page nothing of any substance,
I equate it to being invited around for nibbles and a cup of tea with boring neighbours to watch videos of their last 3 holidays in the same hotel same resort same tavernas and how many of you would sign up for that least alone pay for it like I mistakenly did.

As above why did he bother/
