UFO Caught: †Identified (Flying Experiences)
UFO Caught: †Identified (Flying Experiences)
Price: £3.74

4.0 out of 5 stars An entertaining short story, 22 Dec 2013

A well written account of a pilot's experience with a "UFO" that shows just how easily even the best of pilots can get confused and mistaken by rational things when in the air. A good little read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cliched, 28 Nov 2013
I was expecting better... but honestly, this is just like the other hundreds of zombie novels out there and honestly, isn't as good as many. Cliche characters, cliche plot. I found it incredibly boring.

Avoid. If you've read any zombie book or seen any zombie movie in the past 10 years then you've read this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, can't wait for the sequel, 28 Nov 2013

Very interesting book, gives a lot of insight in the antiques shipping business and has plenty of interesting and amusing anecdotes. Judging by the preview chapters, the sequel is going to be even better.

Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Iain Rob Wright - A hidden gem of a writer!, 26 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've a few of his books now and they have all been gripping reads. Real page turners full of engaging characters, plenty of twists and all seem to have a new take on various genres.

Animal Kingdom is no different. A compelling read. I only gave it 4 stars however because I thought the first 10-15% of the book seemed rather rushed and amateurish in style. It just seemed like the characters actions and reactions to events were highly unrealistic. Once the book hits the 15% mark however; it shifts up a gear and becomes a thrilling read.

I highly recommend this book to anyone and, if like me, you don't enjoy the opening chapters, I urge you to persevere. There is an excellent horror novel waiting to be discovered!

2.0 out of 5 stars Good but... the serial thign just isn't for me., 29 Sep 2013
Although at the end of this, I did want to read more. I just can't justify paying the money for every part of the story. Going to wait until hopefully, there is a chance to buy the story entirely and for hopefully for the price of the other (excellent) Hal Spacejock novels.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage, 18 Sep 2013
Garbage.

Wish I could leave my review as just that one word which sums this book up perfectly but I need to use 20. Dreadful book with bland characters, bad grammar, bad writing and overuse of descriptions which is a common mistake for writers. Don't waste your time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 6 Sep 2013

My favourite since "Darkly Dreaming Dexter". Great plot and full of the trademark wit and observations that make the Dexter series so much fun. The storyline is a little slow moving in places but, there are a lot of nice twists and surprises to keep you guessing and a very shocking ending.

My only fault is the villain was a little obvious, despite the red herrings throw in there and I would have liked a bit of expansion on the motives and hints dropped about a certain character that aren't followed up on.

I really recommend this book. It is full of amusing and interesting tales from the authors experiences as a taxi driver. It is very funny at times. A full and frank book that pulls no punches, I respect the fact the author speaks his mind honestly on the thoughts and feelings he has towards some of the passengers, people he's experienced and indeed people he has worked with.

Excellent stuff.

The Running Man

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 30 Mar 2013
This review is from: The Running Man (Kindle Edition)
The Running Man was a fast-paced, exciting book with plenty of twists and a very likeable main character. I liked it better than many of King's other books since it does not fall into the trap of being overly long and full of unneeded padding like a lot of his novels (Needful Things and Dreamcatcher for example).

Well worth a read.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay, 19 Mar 2013

Overated book. The characters are interesting and likeable enough and the plot is okay but it wasn't a page turner. In fact I thought it kinda dragged on a bit and I couldn't wait to finish it.
