200g New and Improved Flexible Food and Skin Safe Silicone Putty Rubber Moulding Paste Intro kit
200g New and Improved Flexible Food and Skin Safe Silicone Putty Rubber Moulding Paste Intro kit

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for custom chocolates, 14 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I used this to make custom chocolate moulds, but may have been a bit ambitious in the amount of detail I included (think tiny scale replica statue). The putty did an admirable job though, and I managed to several casts from it before the details started to disintegrate from cleaning, and there was enough left over to experiment making two more moulds. The result is a firm rubbery mould with only a small amount of flexibility so don't expect to be able to pop your chocolates out as if from a flexible ice tray! I'll definitely buy it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favourite lip balm, 14 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A really nice balm with a noticable yet not overly bold colour. It gave my lips a lovely deep pink shade that looked more natural than lipstick would. I carry mine everywhere but I'm getting through it quickly. The difficult decision: more of the same, or try out some of the other Burt's Bees shades?

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as advertised, 14 Sep 2013

A very nice plaster. I've been using it in a papier mache recipe and it mixes easily to a smooth paste, dries quickly but with a reasonable working time, and the results are strong and durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, 14 Sep 2013

Jonni's book is the best book I've found so far on mask making. Her instructions are easy to follow, well illustrated, and use materials that are easily obtainable even in the UK. The results are durable, sturdy, yet very light, and even better: once you've mastered the method the possibilities are endless and you can make masks as complex as your imagination allows! I've now got a shelf full of venetian-style masks in various stages of completion, and I only bought the book a couple of weeks ago.

I found it via a video on Youtube showing Jonni demonstrating some of the methods from this book, and from there I followed the trail to her website UltimatePaperMache where you can see her current works in progress. She's very generous with advice and showing her methods, so do check it out. I'm delighted with this book, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start making papier mache masks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect selection of songs to begin your POTO experience., 18 Oct 2005
Hear the original London cast in all their tuneful glory! I now have both this version and the 2004 film version, and I have to say that the latter does not compare at all. Listening to Crawford and Brightman, who can *really* sing, makes me break out in a grin and shiver of glee each and every time. For those of you that have been lucky enough to see the musical on stage, this CD will bring all those wonderful memories back.
This CD contains all the main themes and songs from the musical, and is perfect for those who don't know the story off by heart. The complete recording is great for people who know the lyrics and plot, but for those without a copy of the libretto the half speaking-half singing between the main songs may be confusing. Your choice will depend on whether you want to relive the Phantom experience in full, or simply listen to those particular songs you remember.
Either way, nobody should be without a copy of the original London cast recording of Phantom of the Opera. The music is pure genius, Andrew Lloyd Webber at his best. Filled with emotion and perfectly matched to the story of the Phantom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Please, read this book., 18 Oct 2005
Depending on who you listen to this is either a masterpiece, or a shaky story which has since been improved through adaptations to film and stage. My opinion is the former. I had no trouble at all reading this book, in fact I had real trouble putting it down. For a phantom phan this is essential reading as the basis for all subsequent versions of the tale, and a very good read in itself. Those who know more recent versions of the story should not expect this to be exactly the same; in fact all the characters come across very differently, creating a very different overall storyline regarding the characters.
The writer, Leroux, spent much of his writing career as a journalist, and 'The Phantom of the Opera' is written in a style which suggests a real investigation and interview of the characters by the author (hence the continually resurfacing hope of phans that the Phantom truly existed). This style works exceedingly well, in my opinion, as it leaves plenty of mysteries for the reader to consider, reflecting the nature of the story. Debates about certain points and occurrences continue to this day!
This book truly is a must read, and as copies can be found cheaply most anywhere, you have no excuse for not reading it!
