VALIANT Motorbike Chain Lock with Closed Shackle Padlock Heavy Duty Strong

5.0 out of 5 stars Safe & secure. A must buy for your bike, 18 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had a few bike locks over the years. The last one I had was cut through quite easily with bolt cutters and off they made with my bike.
So I've shopped around quite a lot this time. I've looked at the offerings in Halfords, Argos, B&Q and local bike shops.
If you want anything of this quality from those shops, be prepared to pay 3 times as much.
The chain is a good solid thickness. It's covered too, so will prevent frame damage. The lock is high quality too. All in all for the money this is a steal.
The fact the you get a solid chain and lock means it's not lightweight. But I'm more than prepared to put up with this in favour of security. It's much more secure than all of the bronze/silver chartered locks (which will cost you much more)

Where to start. I have finished every book I have downloaded to my Kindle. Except this one.

Its like a child has written it. The characters have no depth at all, the story has no atmosphere and it just goes nowhere.

I'm not usually compelled to write a review, but this book is awful - how its got anything above one star is beyond me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Game Available., 6 May 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This is, without doubt the best game available on the 360.

Initially, I found the driving, as previously described, a little difficult. But you soon get the hang of it.
You actually have to be able to handle the cars now ¡V and they all handle very differently. If you prang a car, its handling changes ¡V as would a real car. They don¡¦t always blow up either. Smash them enough and they just stop working. This all adds to you having to handle the cars a lot differently than before. It¡¦s different to previous GTA releases ¡V and this is a good thing.

The map is just immense. I¡¦ve put in a lot of gaming hours so far, and I haven¡¦t seen most of the areas through the missions. The details on each building is just amazing. Graphically, the game is excellent. If you feel it¡¦s too dark in part (I did) then adjust the settings in the game. Easy done.

It¡¦s all the little touches that make this game what it is too.
« You can whistle a cab and they stop.
« You can call the police.
« When going in reverse in a car, Niko actually puts his right arm on the passenger seat and looks out the back window.
I could go on.

All in all, this is a massive improvement on previous GTA releases. The game has now evolved to next generation.

Just felt I had to comment on `SD' review below.

This is without doubt one of the best FPS on current release, if not the best.
The core game is excellent, with outstanding graphics and a good learning curve. Anybody who has tried it on Veteran level will back that up. The controls are intuitive and feel natural right from the start.

Where the game really comes into it's own is on-line. There are plenty of different game types on offer which become available as you rank up. Plenty of challenges to achieve. All while trying to avoid being killed. When I started playing on-line, I was awful. There were too many people with a lot of hours under their belt. Now, however, I'm familiar with the layout of the maps and the different weapons on offer (again, more become available as you rank up and complete challenges). As for the lag issue, I've racked up many, many hours of on-line gameplay, and have not experienced any lag at all. It's as responsive as the single player. And you can play online with your friends, quite easily. And play against strangers to rack up the points.

If you like FPS games, then you should not be without it.

What a waste of money. The graphics ae last gen at best, the gameplay is awful. The controls are just not good at all. Think GTA on a SNES and you'll be on the right track. if you're a fan of GTA, Gears, etc.. Stay well clear of this. You wont even see out the first level. Biggest waste of money on the 360 I've seen yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best football game, 26 April 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This game is a must buy.

Those who complain about the editing, the team names etc, miss the point. It's all about gameplay.

Once you get past the controls being different to the other series, you've mastered it. The controls are better, the gameplay fluid and the result is a much better game.

Then of course comes online. This means you have to learn the game all over again. However good you thought you were playing one player against the computer, you're wrong! There's hundreds of thousands of people out there who can beat you easily, and that's where your learning curve continues.

Buy the game. 5 out of 5 on all counts.

If you want a game where all the players look like their real-life counterparts, a game that's glossy, a game that has the official license, then this is the game for you.

If you also want a game lacking gameplay this is for you.

In my opinion, this is the worst game of the FiFa offerings. Everything about the game is just shocking. The passing, the tackling (non-existent), heading etc etc. I could type all day about its failings.

If you're thiking of buying this game, tear up your £20 notes. It'll be less frustrating.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must buy, 5 April 2006

An excellent game.
The comparisons to GTA:San Andreas are inevitable. The gore is there, the driving, the police, the weapons etc etc.. To me, this game is as good as GTA. The controls are very similar and easy to use, no dislocated fingers to be had here. I've only played a small amount of the game, but ut's difficult to put down. As with GTA, you have several options at any one time regarding the progress you want to make.
* You can accept a mission from the Corleone family (this is the main aim of the game - you progress through the ranks in the family)
* You can put pressure on the businesses and warehouses for protection
* You can become a contract killer
* You can also take over the businesses of the other 5 families in New York (this comes with obvious consequences!)
* You can hijack cash carrying vans and keep the loot
* Blow up safes in banks and take the money
There are cars to steal, street merchants to increase your ammo and there are even women dancing in their underwaer in my safehouse!! Although I've yet to find out what they do..
The size of the game is big, the map of NYC huge with plenty of things to keep you busy.
The range of transport isn't as vast as GTA, but it's a different era, so that's to be accepted. The main game follows some of the original film itself (Luca swims with the fishes, the horses head etc)
If you liked GTA:San Andreas, buy this. If not, buy this. It's a must have game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Big let down - again, 18 Oct 2005
This review is from: FIFA 06 (Xbox) (Video Game)
Once again EA fail to deliver on all counts.
The game play is full of glitches.
The passing is wildly innacurate.
Tackling is nigh on impossible without conceding a free kick.
The 'standing' tackle is useless.
PES 4 is a much better game. Yes, the players look like the real ones in FiFa, but at the cost of game play. I await the next installment of PES as I am once again left feeling let down by EA.
