5.0 out of 5 stars Dark, disturbing and utterly compelling, 23 April 2012

When reading a book about a serial killer I want it to be serious, dark and unsettling. This lived up to expectation. I didn't guess who dunnit - and I wanted to scream at the page to get the narrator to move... but to tell you why would be to spoil the story - read it and see for yourself.

Anyone who has worked for a Local Authority will identify with this book. So if you have you will get an extra chuckle out of it. Yes a light read - but funny. To take your mind off the day to day grind I would reccomend this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book - well worth reading - more Lou Mason please, 23 April 2012

Well planned - well executed this book has been very well thought through. A really good story line that keeps you guessing. I could have done without Lou Mason falling in love - him still being an incomplete character would have done well for another book, and that is the point Lou Mason stands as a character well worth writing about again. So more please I really enjoyed this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great twist on an old subject - who dunnit, 23 April 2012

It is just such an unusal take you have to read it - the people are real and that is a credit to the author. A little wordy a couple of times and could do with some editing but I want to hear more from this author - I want to see the theme expanded - and that has to be the sign that you have read a good book or at least an auther who has potential.

This book was a treat - I felt that I knew the London he wrote about - could picture the main character and those around him. Difficult to put down and very sorry when the book ended. This book was a free download - the sort of book that makes Kindle worth having - wonderful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great yarn - good read, 23 April 2012

This was a really good story - well crafted characters, horrible villians heroic heroes thrown together in a very credible plot that was neither predicable or too far fetched. Read from cover to cover with no temptation to skip over chapters.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy read buy not credible., 23 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I found this book not credible. I would like to have known that this book really sits inbetween the adult and the childrens book genre. The thugs trying not to be thugs (every bad guy is a misunderstood brain surgeon?) The good guys were suspicious - why does a man with an Aston Martin and an amazing loft apartment pick up teenage boys who appear to be in trouble? How does a young boy suddenly decide it is ok to rob a bank? No the characters are not substanial enough to support the sudden changes of direction.

I was captivated from start to end. Well thought out - well executed (along with many of the inmates). Books like this one make having your kindle well worth while
