Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
Stylish headphones in a range of colours. I found these headphones performed well. They are a comfortable fit too. At twenty pounds they dont blow the bank and are robust enough to take a few hard knocks. Good investment till you can upgrade to something better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good, 18 May 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
Good Hi-Fi adaptor that seems to do the job well. Just plug into your Hi Fi and you can play music from your Iphone by switching on bluetooth. Really easy to setup. Very handy if you have a lot of downloaded music that you dont want to burn onto disk.
UPDATE: I have noticed that there is some loss in sound, possibly as the Bluetooth signal gets interupted by something. It's not major but may annoy some people. You also have to be quite close to the unit to connect, but then you can roam quite a distance and still play and change tracks. The unit doesn't just work through a Hi-fi, it will work through PC speakers as well or any small Ipod speaker dock. It uses a normal headphone jack to plug in.

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic renewed, 17 May 2013

If you haven't seen To Kill A Mockingbird then please buy this new Blu Ray transfer and not a cheaper DVD. Universal have done an amazing job remastering this classic film and it just looks stunning. Some remasterings have a strange grainyness to the picture, not so with this, its crystal clear and looks better than it likley ever did.

The film is a rare instance of a literary classic being turned into a movie classic. Gregory Peck (who won an Oscar) is the only actor you could think of playing Atticus Finch. Being a book that is the story told from the perspective of children its also the kids in the film that are a huge part of why this film works so well. The poignancy of the story is not lost at all and the moral touches the heart every time I watch it.

If you already own this film on DVD please upgrade it to Blu Ray its really worth it.

This review is from: SAVED (Audio CD)
Saved is generally an album that many new Dylan fans tend to ignore. Likely because of its subject matter which for some reason puts people off. Indeed Bob Dylan was a born again Christian at this stage in his life (I'm not sure what he believes now however) and this album celebrates finding faith and renewed strength. However to judge this album purely on its lyrical context would be missing a great deal. First of all the lyrics themselves, whether you are Christian or not, are really very intersting to hear one mans journey to finding faith and what it means to him. The songs themselves are really well put together and performed, gospelly at times, ballady and bluesy. I really like Dylans use of backup singers as it gives his songs far more punch but doesn't drown out his own voice, its a nice balance. Its an all round good album that is sadly lacking the praise it deserves. This and slow train coming are two great album from Dylan's born again period.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thought this would suit..., 17 May 2013
Thought this would be a good choice for my old Labrador. She happily eats it (I have taken to putting a little hot water on it) and she does not seem to have any adverse reaction to it. So I will continue to buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great adventure!, 4 May 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I put off going to see The Hobbit at the cinema as I read some so so reviews that put me off. However I took the plunge for this home 3D Blu Ray release. Well I don't think I'll listen to another film critic again (frankly most are too up their own opinions to give a fair review anyway). I love this film, from start to finish it's just a well rounder, exciting adventure film that ticks all the boxes for me.

The Hobbit is a less serious film than Lord of the Rings was. It's more in line with the book, which is a childrens book afterall. It feels lighter, but still packs a punch on the thrills. I think Martin Freeman was perfectly cast as Bilbo (a far more mischeavous hobbit than Frodo). I also liked the reappearance of characters from LOTRs (Saruman, Galadriel... oh and Gollum). Having read the book it does follow it quite closley and its great to once again see the depth of Tolkien's written word brought to life on film.

I liked the 3D, it wasn't overdone (with things flying at your every minute) but certainly drew me more into the film and certainly the action sequences.

Great film. Do buy.

I really like this Dragon Well organic tea, it has a great aroma and tastes so fresh. This organic brand is about the best I've tasted as I've tried a few others but always go back to this. If you enjoy your tea or are after a new fresh alternative to shop bought green teas then this is perfect.

The Mummy [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

5.0 out of 5 stars A modern adventure classic, 2 May 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is one of those rare instances when an adventure film doesn't turn out to be a load of nonsense. Speilberg got it bang on with Indiana Jones, but since then very few seem to have got the formula right. The Mummy finally did, its got just about everything you'd want to keep you entertained for a few hours. Brendan Fraser's move away from silly comedies proved the right one as he's brilliant, as too is Rachel Weisz. Although this is remake of the Univeral Horror classic it's less in the horror vein and much more an adventure film. This Blu Ray transfer is stunning, I felt the surround audio could have been a little better utilsed, but that's minor. All in all a cracking film that you can easily stick on the shelf with Star Wars and Indy.

Gave this to my mum as part of a birthday present and she loves it. A local cafe uses these and we always like the way they pour and the look of them. This is the same, great pourer, holds a good amount and looks really lovely. Inside the pot is a tea infuser too so you can get the full enjoyment out of your tea bags or loose teas. My mum is very much enjoying her Dragon Well tea.

2.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced Maple Syrup!, 2 May 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
At three seventy nine for one hundred and twenty five millilitres of maple syrup this would have to be very good. It's not. I compared this with a simillarly rated brand of maple syrup and it just didn't hold up to a bottle that was holding three times what this pouch holds. The price was also far better on the other brand. The problem with the taste is that its very basic. The other brand had a great sweetness, a nice rounded flavour and aftertaste. This just tasted like any old maple syrup would, quite watery, not very syrupy and with little punch to the taste at all. For the price and the amount you're getting I would steer well clear of this brand. For all its heralding on the packet it just isn't worth cooking with or as a condiment.
