5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive Portable HDD, 9 Nov. 2009
This has to be the best value for money HDD available at the moment. high speed USB, US army standard shock proof and rubber protective coating all round. In my view it ticks all the boxes for reliable external storage. Top marks!

4.0 out of 5 stars sports armband for iphone, 9 Nov. 2009
as sports-band cases go this one does aright. light construction and sturdy where it needs to be. the Velcro is part of the band itself so it wont come off with rough use. The one drawback is that the iphone isn't secured into the case but rather the top half (the top where the earplug goes) is left open. its never slipped out even when i have it strapped the other way round so its not too bad a drawback.
Overall this band has survived 50+ hours of running and gym use without any issues, so it passes the mark.

2.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining possibly... mediocer for sure!, 27 Oct. 2009
Im new to these series of books and wont partake in any more. the writing is too action man and over the top. the characters one dimensional and the story arch, though palpable and provocative, feels like it lacks polish. holiday reading but not the best..

2.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful concept and art but absolutely terrible non pc friendly controls, 2 April 2009
This review is from: Stormrise (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
Please note this is a PC review perspective
This game has the most backward control system ever attempted for an RTS. I know it's supposed to be a console game only ported but the fact that it's supposed to play in a fast passed fashion you really need to spend the hours getting good at it to be able to handle the controls. The whole feel of the controls also reminds of a 3rd person action game with a few squad based elements thrown in.
Also the fact that the game is DX10 vista only puts it out of reach. Give this game a pass unless you are really desperate for modern mech action.

5.0 out of 5 stars Swiss handy knife, 2 April 2009
What to say about the Swiss handy knife that hasn't already been said. If you do a bit of camping, hunting, fishing or climbing then you need a basic handy all knife and this is it. The main blade has a safety catch that prevent them from inadvertently re-housing when in use. Very handy tool

4.0 out of 5 stars this is Total War!!, 2 April 2009
A wonderful integration with civ-ish empire building and the fast passed actions of the 18th century battle field. The addition of full 3d naval battles makes this game actually three games in one. Very simple to grasp for first time strategy fans, yet under the hood this has the guts of the most complex Total War game to date. if you played any other games in the total war franchise and liked them then this is the best yet!
There have been problems with the steam authentication that need working out yet so you must look into the support faq for the work around as there is no patch/fix for them so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars sturdy and reliable, 9 Mar. 2009
it is the best wrap available for the iphone 3g at the moment. adjustable strap combined with sturdy construction and comfortable fitting. its been out on many runs now and is still in pristine condition. it also can serve to protect the phone against light rain showers as the screen part is water tight. very recommended for runners

Condottiere
Condottiere
by Edward J. Crockett
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars brilliant book, 9 Mar. 2009
This review is from: Condottiere (Paperback)
brilliantly written with enough emphasis on the mood and feel of the time to illustrate a under exposed historic figure. if you liked this you might also try The Religion as they share similar flavour
