5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, great customer services!!, 11 Aug. 2014
I bought this item for use at the gym. It is very compact and lightweight, and connects easily to a variety of devices - I've connected it to iPhones, iPads, iPods via a generic Bluetooth connector, and to a Samsung Galaxy 3. The sound is good; it amplifies nicely and gives a good bass response. Importantly for me, it blocks out the background sounds in the gym when its playing.

The ear buds fit snugly, although they are a little difficult to get on if they come detached from the phones themselves.

I've been very pleased with the phones, and even more pleased with the customer service I received when I asked for additional earbuds. Avantree communicated very effectively across the globe, keeping me copied in at every stage of the way, and the additional buds arrived when they said they would.

All in all, very pleased with the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning album, 17 Sept. 2012
This review is from: Head Down (Audio CD)
This third release from the LA classic rock combo is their best to date. It has all the big riffs that are expected, but it now crosses effortlessly across many different genre's and influences. The lead single, Keep On Swinging, and what is bound to become a live favourite, You Want To, keep the head nodding, while the beautiful vocals of Jay Buchanan on the gentle Jordan are so soulful and pure.

But the highlight has got to be Manifest Destiny. Part 1 is a long, trippy blues jam, that never gets bloated and captivates the listener. This gets chased down with Part 2, which brings back the riffs, but with haunting vocals, and drums being pounded in a way that will be familiar to L** Z*****in fans.

Head Down shows a great maturity in a young band, a stunning culmination of their previous efforts, from the psychedelic tinged Before The Fire, through the astonishing big riffing of EP from 2011, and the breakthrough Pressure and Time from last year.

I think we'll look back at this as a very important release, not just for Rival Sons, but for music in general.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great upgrade program, 31 Oct. 2011
Great piece of software .... but even better when upgraded! Cakewalk have offered a very effective upgrade program, such that I'm now on the last version (XI) at Producer level. This gives me loads more plug ins and a better interface. All in all, a much more pro piece of software

4.0 out of 5 stars Thoughts from a non-folky, 8 Jun. 2009
This review is from: The Awkward Recruit (Audio CD)
I just caught these lot by accident at a folk festival, and they were awesome - full of energy and humour. So I downloaded their album today and was not disappointed. Infectious tunes that stay in your head, and exceptional musicianship (listen to the bassman). The vocals are captivating, subtle harmonies when required, and the whole album has a mysterious atmosphere about it.
Its worth delving into (as a blues rocker I've found folk difficult for prolonged listenings), and they are well worth seeking out live.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product, 30 Mar. 2008
This is a great device. It allows you to capture all of your handwritten notes (taken during meetings, presentations etc) onto your PC. You don't have to have it hooked up all the time - it can store up to 50 pages of stuff on it. When you do connect, it asks you if you want to upload your notes, and then deletes it off the device. When its on the PC, you can organise in the software however you like; I have mine based on customer, and the software adds the date onto the note. If you want to/need to, you can use the provided software to convert to text for documents, online call reports, emails etc. Best of all, it doesn't require any special paper or any special ink.

If it has a down side, then it would probably be the recognition software, particularly for graphics use. Maybe I need to spend more time with it, but organisation charts come across as a series of lines rather than boxes, for example.

That aside, its a great product.
