5.0 out of 5 stars Turn up the sun and turn this up!, 1 Jun. 2005
This review is from: Don't Believe the Truth (Audio CD)
well all i can say is wow ... their back and just as good. ignore the prophets of doom who have been underrating this album from the moment first single lyla was released, its Oasis on good form. Tracks like turn up the sun, let there be love and keep the dream alive stood out immediately from an album which as appeared all to easy to criticise. Switch on, turn up and listen in to what promises to be one of the best new albums this summer.

(apolgies for the title but i just couldnt resist) superb single from a band which i think tend to get under rated. their hard to define ska type music isa breath of fresh air and they deserve success. just you try to stop singing along to this one

4.0 out of 5 stars Creative Rocks!, 21 May 2005
This review is from: MuVo 2 (4gb) (Electronics)
I brought this mp3 player simply because id got tired of my minisdisc and carrying all the little disks around with it. this Mp3 player has let me store nearly forty albums on it and its more than adequate for what i wanted! For people who dont have the money to buy the more expensive mp3s check this one out and be pleasantly surprise. ive had mine a few months now and no problems! Oh and from a girls persepective it fits neatly into any handbag!! a full five for me

5.0 out of 5 stars Filthy/ Gorgeous, 17 May 2005
This review is from: Scissor Sisters (Audio CD)
this is an album like nothing you will ever hear! its energetic, glamorous and wonderfully catchy. singles like laura, comfortably numb, Mary, Laura and Filthy/ Gorgeous power along and sit comfortably next to unreleased material like lover in the backseat and return to oz. If you dont already own this album then buy it right now and join the bizzarre world of the scissor sister. also if you get a chance to see them live like i did last year, take it for one of the best nights out you could have

2.0 out of 5 stars What can i say?! i only brought this for an honest mistake, 17 May 2005
This review is from: The Bravery (Audio CD)
yes i no thats shallow and stupid but i was under the impression the rest of the album would be just as good. sadly for me this was not the case and the only tracks i can really rate from this album are an hones mistake and fearless. to be honest you'll either love this album or hate it but to be honest just forget this and buy the killers - hot fuss.

5.0 out of 5 stars But shes an Angel for sure .. she just cant stop telling lie, 17 May 2005
buy this single and you not only get the fantastically catchy tune somebody told me (that you had a boyfriend that looked like a girlfriend etc etc) but also the wonderful ballard of micahel valentine which you will no doubt be singing along to after only a few listens. Under the guns not a bad tune either. this single is a must for any killers fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars All i need is a certain trigger ........., 17 May 2005
This review is from: A Certain Trigger (Audio CD)
this has to be one of the best album's so far. parellels have been drawn between maximo park and franz ferdinand but i feel this album is in a league of its own. from the brilland first song signal and sign with its catchy chorus to the anthem that it apply some pressue this album is one that will not disappoint. Best song on this album?? im torn between graffiti, kiss you better and once, a gimpse. if your looking for a new band and a new album to get excited about then you've definitely found it with this debut from Maximo Park!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad at all really, 12 Feb. 2005
well, what can i say the track list it self speaks for itself. you may want flip over a few tracks depending on personal taste but theirs definitely some anthems on here. i like Laura by the Scissor Sisters (well deserved Brit Winners) and of course the Legend that is Morrissey with his top tune First of the gang to die. its not quite a full five stars but its not a bad album at all. i defintely like the new dvd feature with it. one for people who can really listen to a variety of types of music.
