5.0 out of 5 stars Concentrate!, 22 April 2013

This review is from: Imbroglio (Paperback)
One of my better reads, the plot twists and turns starting from a very unexpected place. normally a tale like this would follow the normal cliche ridden crime / legal drama storyline but I found I couldn't second guess where the tale was heading. One word of caution: it is a fairly involved read and occasionally I'd find myself flicking back a few pages to work out how I'd got there. The author has been compared to Grisham and I think that is fair although the book hasn't been made into a film yet which gives the former greater credence.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good ebook, awful editing!, 27 Feb. 2012

I came across "The Nearest Exit" which I thoroughly enjoyed so I bought this also. I found the story very engaging although the story lines were a bit incredible. However, what was really annoying about the book was the am-ount of err one ous spac-ing and hyphenat-ion. Especially when dealing with parts of the story abroad, sometimes it threw the gist of what was happening. Surely, when transferring to an ebook, especially when the publisher is harper Collins, someone is responsible for checking the text? This happened at least twice per chapter and is the worst, by far, of the ebooks I have read. This did spoil the book somewhat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected, 20 July 2011

This is my first cycle maintenancy stand although I have seen others in use. On opening the box, the quality of the finish stood out as looking good as did the constuction which was sturdier than I had expected. The spread of the feet is much wider than I had thought it would be meaning a very stable work platform. The instructions were plain and easy to understand; often for this type of product they look like someone has used google translate, badly!

Overall I would heartily recommend this product for the home mechanic - I hesitate to say professional use as some of the fitments to the legs look like they could be easily damaged with prolonged repeated use.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Game but dodgy product, 19 Feb. 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Tony Hawk Ride (Wii) (Video Game)
I bought this game as a gift for my 10 year old son and very embarrassingly it didn't work. There were problems with synching with the Wii and I had to get a replacement sent. the replacement is awesome and it is truly a great game. Low rating reflects issues and embarrassment factor of giving your child a gift that doesn't work. On the plus side, Amazon responded very quickly to sort the replacement.
