With a cast of diverse characters, Hellsing offers a rather interesting story with likable characters, plot twists and lots of over the top violence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something Epic That You Should Watch, 15 Mar 2012
This film was nominated Best Animated Feature at the 81st Academy Awards, but lost to Bolt and Kunk Fu Panda. Why a film like this didn't get an Oscar is beyond me, this has some of the most amazing cinematics, music, storytelling and art I've ever seen in an animated film.

5.0 out of 5 stars It Blew My Mind, 10 Jan 2012
This Movie has reminded me why I started watching Anime in the first place. I usually decide on how good a film is by it's storyline and characters, and while this film does have a decent plot where it really shines is it's art, designs and race scenes. The film took 7 years to make and is composed of 100,000 hand drawn pictures, no CG. The film uses an experimental art style which looks amazing. because of the long development every scene is great and is full of life. The designs for the characters, locations and vehicles are very creative, the film even has some what-the-heck moments. The middle section of the film is kind of slow moving, the section between the two races, there are some funny scenes and watching the characters interact is very fun. The story, in my opinion is the weakest part of the film, it's very predictable and there is little to no character development. Now for the races and this is where the film really pays it's way, The animation is unbeatable with mind bending chases and physics, each crash, explosion, nirtos speed boost and hair pin turn is executed perfectly. You should defiantly watch this as it is a one of a kind film.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ten Kirbys Ten Times the Awesomeness, 27 Dec 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Recent years haven't been to kind to our pink puff ball, no home console games since Kirby 64 and then that dreadful Epic Yarn he was shoved into. But with 2011 Kirbys luck has turned around with Mass Attack and Adventure Wii. To start off with I have to say this is one of the best NDS games to utilizes the styles, you touch the screen to direct the Kirbys in the direction you want them to go and slid the screen to throw them at enemies, tapping the screen makes the little fellows run faster, by holding the styles down on the Kirbys you can drag them though the air, this has limited flight before they drop. At the beginning of the game, and then at the start of each new world, you start off with one Kirby, by acquiring fruit you counter goes up, once it reaches a hundred you get a new Kirby. each Kirby has two hit points the first hit turns them pale and the second kills them, they will float away off screen however you can throw other Kirbys at them to bring them back, huge rings can be fount in every stage, sending the Kirbys though them will heal them.

The plot to the game is some what typical, one peaceful day Kirby is attacked by an evil demon and split into 10, Kirby must travel though the land collecting stuff before deafening him.

The combat in Mass Attack is very creative, no really, you throw Kirbys at enemies which they crab onto, they then smash them into the floor, Kirbys always been the violent type, the bigger the enime the more Kirbys you'll need. Throughout the levels there are other things Kirbys can grab and pull some require all Kirbys to work. The games collectibles are medals, 120 in total, these are used to unlock mini games sound tests and Survival Rush. The mini games are some of the best I've ever seen in a game, my personal favorites are Pinball, a top down shooter using Kirbys and an RPG style game. At some parts the gameplay alters somewhat this brings some refreshing variety to the game, at one point your on a warp star surfing though a level, in another your in a space ship where you throw the Kirbys at buttons on the roof to shoot other ships and finally a balloon ride where you move the Kirbys from side of the other using the weight to steer

In summary this is probably my second favorite handheld Kirby game after Kirby Super Star Ultra and I would definitely recommend picking it up.

NINTENDO Solatorobo: Red the Hunter [DS]
NINTENDO Solatorobo: Red the Hunter [DS]

5.0 out of 5 stars The best DS game I've ever played, 21 Dec 2011
These days it's hard to find a game that's not set in the real world and not about quick scoping your friends. however CyberConnect2 have decided to make a very imaginative game with a deep storyline, fun original gameplay and stunning visuals and they have named it... Solatorobo.

This is a sequel or spiritual sequel to a 1998 PS1 game called Tail Concerto.

The game is centred around a hunter named Red and his sister, however more characters are introduced throughout the game some starting out as enemies but later becoming allies. similar to the Zelda NDS series you must go from island to island, floating islands mind you, and do quests, these are obtained though a quest broker called Flo this will lead you to quests that involve completing the storyline, each island has it's own theme, water city, training ground, metropolis etc., these total ten in all, your core quest usually takes place on flying ships or inside stone monsters.

The gameplay involves you piloting a mech called DAHAK, you defeat enemies by lifting them up and throwing them, this gets a little more advanced as the game progresses, other segments are piloting planes, this only plays a small role in the storyline but can by done in multiplayer with friends and some others that briefly appear.

The opening animation was done by Madhouse, a famous animation studio, as well as the cutscenes. The graphics have a very hand drawn look to them and the theme in some areas is like that of Okamiden, you will most lily fall in love with the visuals. Cutscnes are scripted but there are voice actors who will say the odd word at the beginning of a sentence, oddly in French, the actors are all Japanese in the EU and JP version.

Overall I can't find many bad things to say about this game, perhaps the cutscnes that can't be skipped and do sometimes go on a bit to much as well as elements like flying being underused.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Kirby Game You've Been Waiting For, 4 Dec 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
To think it's been ten years since Kirby 64, the last traditional home console Kirby game, and while I did enjoy Kirby's recent game Mass Attack, another great game this year, I'm happy to play a traditional Kirby game again. After being hugely disappointed by the over praised Epic Yarn game, this game has reminded me why I played Kirby in the first place, but don't get fooled into thinking this has lost all the creative charm you would expect from a Kirby game, sadly I can not say anything about the games multiplayer as I haven't been able to use it yet, from what I've heard though it's very good.

The other main inclusion, aside from the multiplayer is the Super Abilities, these are extremely powerful versions of some of Kirbys other abilities Sword, Ice, Fire, Jester and Hammer. these are fount at the later part of certain levels and are used for unlocking star voids into another dimension, these are optional but if you want to get 100% you should use them, and to finish off two of the games bosses. They act as follows Sword: enlarged version with different forms each time, on rare occasions a fish, and slices though mostly anything with a huge slash.
Jester: Kirby sends a huge energy ball around the screen destroy enemies and activating switches, hit them all in on go for it to work.
Ice: kirby turns into a huge snowball that you can use to knock over buildings.
Hammer: Kirby uses the hammer to smash the floor, by shaking the Wii remote the size of the hammer increases.
Early on it's just a case of using that to effortless get though a stage later on it starts to get a bit harder.

Another new element of the game that seems to over looked is the items you can use, these are carrying items so they won't effect your copy ability, the key is the most simplest used to open doors. The cannon is very fun to use it fires small exploding balls that can destroy even solid stone blocks. The Steel caped Boots, an over sized boot that Kirby sits in and uses to jump on enemies. A small clear shade that makes you both invisible and transparent, this is used to go though certain walls. A huge bomb that you must transport safely to destroy an obstacle. The last is the trumpet-like object, sorry I don't know it's name, that emits a rainbow out of the top stopping and killing all enemies who are stupid enough to attack you.

The game also includes three new abilities. There is Whip, Kirby equipped with a cowboy hat and a whip allow for rapid attacks. Water, with a pool of water on his head Kirby can slide along on water and across it, firer bigger bubbles under water and form tidal waves. leaf, Kirby can use leafs to either throw, jab or use in a hurricane. All existing Copy Abilities that made it into the game have had some alterations, mostly involving more moves.

The last thing to mention is the extras, these are inside the ship you use as your base, in the right room is the challenges you can take, this involves going though an assault course, the layout depends on which ability you are using. On the left is a four storage rooms where Kirby can acquire any of the games normal copy abilities, minus Crash and Mike. The bottom room contains the games two minigames, Ninja Star Throw, swinging the wii remote at the right time to hit a bulls eye and a firing range where you pint the wii remote at the screen and shoot robots before time runs out.

In summary Kirby's Adventure Wii is probably one of the best Kirby games I've ever played, beaten only by Amazing Mirror and Super Star Ultra.

1.0 out of 5 stars IS This Really A Kirby Game, 23 Oct 2011
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
I've always loved Kirby games, a great modern 2D side scroller that never gets boring, I always love how they try new things with the franchise to keep it fresh. However upon playing this game I was massively disappointed, they strayed to far away from what Kirby is, gone are the things that mad kirby fun, the ability to suck up and steal enemies powers, the varied difficulty levels, you can't even die in this game. Graphically this game looks very fun and unique but Feel Good relied to much on this, once you've unthreaded a few enemies and pulled back a few layers of scenery and diven one of the flew in a space ship you've done it all, the way to easy difficulty is a joke, you'll find your self just walking though level with barely anything stopping you, if you get crushed the game will move you forward rewarding you for failing. If your looking for a Kirby game on the Wii don't get this get Kirby's Adventure Wii, it's a hell of a lot better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ranma ½ Movie 1 & 2, 21 July 2011
This box set contains the following two movies; Ranma ½: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China Ranma ½: Nihao My Concubine.
Ranma ½ was a Manga series made between 1987 to 96 by Rumiko Takahashi. For anyone who doesn't know Ranma ½, it follows a martial artist called Ranma a terrible curse was put on him after falling into a spring in china that turns him into a girl when splashed with cold water, and back into a boy when splashed with hot.

==Plot Summary==
Both films have similar plot lines however the second does it a lot better in my opinion. The first is about a prince who is looking for a bride who holds the other half of a scroll, Ranmas fiance, Akane comes by this scroll and is kidnapped and taken to China, Ranma along with his father, Akanes father and his rivals and finances follow them to China along with a girl who original owned the scroll and is supposed to marry the prince.

The second movie takes place during a heat wave when Ranma, Akane and her family along with the usual cast go on holiday to a deserted island(not the most original idea ever) there boat however is destroyed and the girls in their party start to disappear, after using Ranma as bait they find another island where the girls are being held hostage, Ranma, in his girl form, tries to get the prince of this island to marry him so he can use the spring they have to turn back into a man, however he choose Akane as his bride instead, see how I said there similar.

==verdict==
The films don't offer much in way of story as you can see, I would recommend them as they are very funny have some very interesting characters. The animation is typical of early 90s Japanese animation and has very bad backgrounds at some points which are just random shapes, on the whole though is decent. The English dub was done by the Ocean Group, usually I would recommend watching these things in English as it doesn't require reading subtitles and there are lots of good dubs out there. With this dub I strongly recommend watching the original Japanese dub as the voice acting is bad on a level you wouldn't believe possible, the main character sounds like a girl, while in his boy form, with a voice that's unbearable to hear and acting you would expect from a fan dub. the original dub is much better with talented voice actors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Multiplayer Heaven, 13 Jun 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
If your looking for a good story mode with objectives and what not, then this game isn't for you.
If however your looking for an amazing multiplayer experience to rival all overs then this is your game

Where most modern FPS; restrict the amount of weapons you can carry, have no life bar, and make your movements as realistic as possible. This on the over hand allows you to carry as much as you want jump and move about in a way you couldn't in real life and have as much fun as you want blowing people to pieces. This is Unreals strongest point, the game centers around having fun, no Quick Scopes, no No Scopes.
