5.0 out of 5 stars Great Movie, Great Transfer!, 21 Mar 2008
The HD-DVD transfer of Terminator 2:Judgement Day is one of the best HD-DVD's available, which is quite remarkable given that at the time of me writing this review the movie is some 16 years old! Trust me, it looks like it was made yesterday. The sound is also extemely good.

The movie itself is a true blockbuster in every sense of the word and still packs a punch today. If you have not seen this movie and you like SCI-FI/action movies, this is a must buy, especially on HD-DVD.

The picture is 97% of the time perfect. The only minor complaint I have is that this version comes with additional footage, there is no option to watch the movie as per its original cinema release. I am not saying that the footage is not welcome (it is as I have never seen the extra footage previously and some of it would have fit in the original cinema release well), just that I would have "liked" an option to watch the original version as well.

Another plus point is the inclusion of two previous cut scenes from UK video and DVD releases (two rather violent head bangs against a brick wall in the asylum and a pillar in the asylum's car park).

If you have HD-DVD, do yourself a favour and buy this movie while you can.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Dark Zero - Good All Round Fun, 1 Jun 2007
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Being new to XBOX360 (DEC 2006) I had initially, and foolishly, overlooked this first generation release until approximately a month ago. I shelled out 19.99 for the CLASSIC version of the game and it was money well spent.

You play a futuristic, female version, of James Bond. There is a selection of futuristic gadgets and weaponry at your disposal (unlocked throughout game). The game has 13 single player levels which can be played at 4 different levels of difficulty from AGENT to DARK (hardest level). It is also possible to play CO-OP through the entire game in all difficulties, so if you are looking for CO-OP action , look no further. There are a plethora of XBOX LIVE or LOCAL DEATH MATCH and DARK OPS levels (sabotage - destroy and defend objects, eradication - kill the opposing team, capture the flag - no intro needed, and many more).

The game does look slightly dated but don't let that put you off. The game play is not too dissimilar from the Time Splitters series, anyone who enjoyed the TS series should enjoy this title. In fact this is what makes it such a good game, it is very easy and fun to play, but there is still plenty to keep you challenged in order to earn all 1000 achievement points, if thats your thing.

My favorite feature is the ability to rack up achievement points in LOCAL DEATH and DARK OPS missions, without the need to logon to XBOX LIVE (unlike any other shoot-em-up currently on the market - Gears of War, Lost Planet etc). You can specify the number of BOTS in a match (computer oponents) and their personality. Like the single player mode it is also possible for you to adjust the BOTS skill level to make local DEATH/DARK OPS matches more of a challenge. In other words you can earn every achievement without ever logging on top XBOX LIVE.

If you like shooting games and are not looking for the latest improvement in computer generated games you could do a lot worse than buying this title. At this price its an essential purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buy Something Else!, 1 Jan 2005
This review is from: Corvette (PS2) (Video Game)
I purchased this title because of my love for muscle cars. To be honest I did not expect a great deal from this game, but remained reserved and hopeful that it might at least be OK.
The graphics are respectable, however the music/sound effects are poor along with the overall game-play (car handles like a wheel barrow with a full load!). The game-play at best is dull and uninspiring.
I will not waste too much time writing this review as the title is not worthy of any real effort but wanted to ensure no one else wastes their money on this title, especially when there are much better deserving racers for your money. If you like muscle cars go for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 (The best of its kind on PS2) or you could try Activision's TD: Overdrive.
