White orbs issue resolved. Bought his camera in Feb 2012. An absolute delight apart from the white orbs. Returned the camera to Fuji in Sept under guarantee for new sensor to be fitted. It is now my camera of choice for casual use, a stunner in every way and at the current price a bargain. BUY IT !

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Recipes Appalling Binding, 15 Aug. 2012
This review is from: Indian Superfood (Paperback)
Fantastic recipes, a new slant on Indian cooking.Brilliant photographs, binding fell apart within 5 days, contents now held together in a plastic folder.
LATER. I got in touch with the publishers who stated that they were aware of the problems with the binding. They have reprinted the book with new printers and have sent me a replacement which is just fine. I now give this book 5 STARS.

Don't know what item Harry received but my mic. stand has all metal threads.
Just the job, as a singing drummer (roll up folks !)I wanted a stand with a small base with no danger of toppling over. I now have what I need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Purrfect, 16 Jun. 2011

No longer do I have to use a clothes peg to pin music to my one of my toms. Just what I needed. It WILL go at at any angle if you take it to bits and be imaginative. Now there's no excuse for drummers not to learn to read music.

5.0 out of 5 stars 50 Years On, 12 May 2011

This review is from: Roarin' (Audio CD)
Does exactly what it says on the can. One of the best British Modern Jazz records ever. Blistering solos over a phenomenal rhythm section in particular a 20 year old Phil Kinorra. Gives as much pleasure as when I first heard it all those Pre-Beatles years ago.
Highly recommended.
PS Graham Bond should have stuck to Jazz.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sheer Scouse Delight, 18 Sept. 2010
This review is from: Live At The BBC (Audio CD)
I taped a lot of this stuff with a microphone jammed up against the radiogram speaker when it was first broadcast on "Pop Go The Beatles" in 1963. Great to hear to it again after all these years. The Beatles' performance has well stood the test of time, particularly John Lennon on Sweet Little sixteen and Carol which are just the business. Who said The Beatles weren't a great live band ??
The compilation entirely captures the essence of the era, great music and great fun. Highly recommended (well to all over 50 !).

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy It, 16 Sept. 2010
Grandiose, superficial, opinionated, pompous, inaccurate, unbalanced, contradictory, rambling, dogmatic, trite and utterly depressing in its banality.
The worst History of Rock on the market.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better Git This In Your Record Collection, 28 Dec. 2009
This review is from: Mingus at Antibes (Audio CD)
I echo all the previous comments, this is an outstanding example of live jazz from one of Mingus's best bands. Blistering solos, driving rhythm section and original themes. Refreshes the parts other bands cannot reach BUT not for the faint hearted !
Rumour has it that somewhere exists a video of this concert - now that I would like to see.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Joy, 29 July 2009

The Spoonful at their very best giving us all a memory of how good it was to be young in the 60's.
Lovin' You, Bes Fiends and Darlin' Companion are enough evidence for John Sebastian's genius.

Off the wall, low budget but still classic Milligan. Very funny with some great cameo performances by the supporting cast in particular Sellers and Victor Spinetti.
