1.0 out of 5 stars What's all the fuss about, 21 April 2004
I must be the only person on this planet to detest the Star Wars films, not only do i find them boring, they are a cash in on cheesy specialeffects, my opinion. I just don't think George Lucas can be classed as agreat filmmaker, Star Wars is a carbon copy of Lord of the Rings, Sauronis similar to Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker similar to Frodo Baggins, R2-D2and C3-PO similar to Merry and Pippin, Endor is copied, as a city in theStar Wars 'mythology', when in Lord of the Rings it is the Sindarin namefor Middle Earth, and the copies race of Wraiths. I think the dialogue isrepetetive, long and boring, the artwork is bland, the story has been seenmany times before, it is hardly original, the romance is so boring, i feellike crying at the droning of it, and worst of all, the action. Well thatis my opinion

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious, 13 Mar. 2004
Dirty Sanchez is the British version of cult tv comedy Jackass. It follows three welsh guys and a weird londoner do some serious stuff to each other. There is a stunt involving step ladders and a car. And other mindless stunts make for compulsive viewing, and you will not laugh harder for years after seeing this hilarious giggle.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Friday I will never forget, 15 Feb. 2004
Filled with gretuetus violence, realistic gore, proper scary, with great acting from a not well known cast. A psychic, who releases Jason from his grave, It don't get any better than that, a truly magnificent film, just my sort. If you like this, try Love Actually, and Titanic, maybe Hugh Grant films, crap chick flicks, that's all crappy Jason is

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning, 8 Feb. 2004
In 1999, the Wachowski brothers not only started a revolution of special effects, the created a truly unique and realistic vision of our planet's fate if we treated machines badly. This excellently packaged edition contains the superb first movie, with a bonus disc documentary, the matrix revisited. Covering every aspect of the production, the bullet time, Kung Fu, Visuals, and story, it is a must have for every movie fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterpiece, 23 Jan. 2004
Katsuhiro Otomo's masterpiece is a must for any Anime or Matrix fan. With striking visuals and a unique storyline this film is superb.
The year is 2019, 30 years after Tokyo was destroyed in a secret weapons project. Child-hood friends Tetsuo and Kaneda are on a bike rampage through Neo-Tokyo, and Tetsuo is taken by the military, and subjected to experiments that make him a powerful physic. Tetsuo releases his rage on a city that has persecuted him.
The film contains great characters, a good plot, some wonderful dialogue and great action. Some of the best motorbike chase sequences since the last great one. I would give it more than five stars, but Amazon(great site) has restricted 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Future of Anime, 22 Jan. 2004
Ghost in the Shell is a truly magnificent film, combining a unique, original storyline, with superb visuals, and enough action to satisfy action lovers, the film stands on it's own as one of the most amazing japanimation films. The year is 2019, and the world is caught up in the fast-paced information world, cyborgs and A.I are more real than humans, and only the ghost is the thing left from the human consciencness. The Puppet-master, a skilled Hacker, can hack into the minds of his enemies. Wha follows is almost two hours of complex philosphical dialogue, adrenaline pumping action, a unique storyline, all from the brilliant imagination of Masamune Shirow. Without Ghost in the Shell, the Matrix would have never existed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Matrix Reloaded, like wiping your a*** with silk, 18 Jan. 2004
The Matrix Reloaded, what can I say, a truly great film that will set the hurdle to beat in cinematic history. Superbly directed by the magnificent Wachowski's, the story sears, the special effects better those of any film made, even LOTR. Bullet time has improved, the fight scenes are more sophisticated, the philosophical content is more complex, the action is ultra-fast paced. The music score is excellent, providing a suspensful background. Truly great stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enter the greatest game, 17 Jan. 2004
I bought Enter the Matrix some time ago, and when I opened the PS2 tray, inserted the disc, closed the tray and played the game, I was blown away. The story is absolutley fantastic, combining Hong Kong Martial Arts, a truly unique story line, exciting characters, excellent action all under the direction of the brilliant Andy and Larry Wachowski, my favourite film makers. Being and Avid gamer, I have wanted to play this for a while, and I fulfilled my dream. It is now in my top ten games, at number one, narrowly beating Vice City and T.H.U.G. Yuen Wo Ping and his team choreograph the martial arts to an unbeaten standard, realizing the vision of the Wachowski's magnificently. The voice acting is well done, it has emotion and a sense of hard work. The music provides and excellent background, especially the fights with agents. Such tense moments. The fight with Seraph, Trinity, the Freeway chase, the office shoot-out, the house of the merovingian, a roof-top chase, and an excellent hovercraft chase, all this combined with 60 minuites of never before seen footage, makes this a trule electryfing gaming experience. Welcome, to the virtual world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mr. Anderson Welcome Back I missed you, 16 Jan. 2004
To sum it up in 2 words, absolute magnificence. The Matrix Revolutions is a great way to finishing a ultra superb trilogy. After seeing the magnificent first in the year 2001, I waited and waited, constantly watching trailers on the net and TV, watching the excellent first day in and day out. Then it opened. I watched the Matrix Reloaded and was amazed at the attention to detail and story in Zion, the excellently paced action and the stunning fight scenes, especially the Burly Brawl. Then I waited six months for the third movie. And when I watched it I was not disappointed, excellent visuals, stunning story, and 3 great action sequences, the club hell shoutout, the epic battle between Zion and the Machines and the Super Burly Brawl between Neo and Agent Smith. The music adds brilliant background and suspense to the film, some good acting, especcialy from Hugo Weaving and Carrie-Ann Moss. I was suprised by the critical mauling it recieved, then most critics would'nt know a decent film if one came and sat on their heads and said I'm a decent film. Much Much better than the ultra crap Kill Bill. The Manga style violence is cool, but again, the Wachowksi's need to be applauded for bring two years of joy to my life, wathcing these movies has been a great experience and without the Wachowki's, none of you Matrix fans would be Matrix Fans
