3.0 out of 5 stars curious reaction, 26 Nov 2012
I bought these because they match a pair of earrings I already possess.

They were fine at the party. I'd stuck them on my cheeks, next to the earrings.

Everyone was very complimentary.

Not sure why the gentlemen kept trying to put their cocks in my ear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, 8 Aug 2012
This is a great product, though perhaps not for the entire body. I used it mainly for face and shoulders.

Note: The cream is very thick so apply far less than you might expect, or your face will be a white mask! I found it best to daub spots around the face with one finger then merge using the finger tips.

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Didn't like it much. I found it too big and too light. The thickness of the blade and the angle of the cutting edge seems all wrong.

Great customer service though!

5.0 out of 5 stars fulfills all your brolly needs, 21 Dec 2011
I bought mine around '95. I was browsing to see if they still make them. I think it's cheaper now! Superb brolly. The magical auto-close never fails to give me a small smile when I see others reaching inside theirs and struggling to get them down. I don't understand why the feature is not everywhere after all this time.

I had to 'fix' one spoke which broke 3 or 4 years ago with a loop of wire, so it doesn't play a part in the sprung open/close business now, but just follows along. Despite that, the brolly is still going strong. Complaints? Not a one.

1.0 out of 5 stars case unproven, 28 Oct 2011
A poor, morally-retrospective, anti-British diatribe by an anti-British, alleged KGB-collaborator (check out his wiki and decide if this is truly a person to write a politically-unbiased account of British history)

Independent Book Reviews:
"Gott's evidential base is a disconcerting mishmash. Sometimes he relies heavily on largely superseded works, sometimes on superficial accounts in cases where a large, relevant, more specialist literature exists. Sometimes he gives no source at all for a particular claim; and where he does, he never gives the relevant page numbers in the book. Thus one can't, without great difficulty, follow up on his references - which is what notes are supposed to be for."

5.0 out of 5 stars A traditional approach to nursery rhymes, 20 Jun 2010
The other reviews rather miss the point here. This is an excellent cd taking nursery rhymes back to their roots as a spoken tradition. Here the sense of the language is emphasised in a way that is lost in song. Witness the popularity of radio songs despite the utter banality of their lyrics. By treating nursery rhymes as poetry it promotes an appreciation of the words, rhyme, cadence and rhythm of speech - rather than mindless hand-clapping.
