4.0 out of 5 stars A taster of Economics, 6 Feb 2011
The way that Smith writes this book made me wish that i had read this book before i had started college (I had read this book in my second year). The book is very clear and easy to understand and each chapter has it's own theme such as those covering the topics of great Economists and the different schools of thought in Economics. For those of you who are going to study Economics or thinking about it, the book covers many of the topics that you will learn and gives some detail of how these theories came about. And for those of you who are interested in Economics, the book does cut down Economics into small digestable pieces straight onto your plate and gives you insight into the subject in a very interesting manner. The Glossary at the back is very helpfull too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpfull book!, 6 Feb 2011
I found this revision book very helpfull for my economics exam because it sums up each chapter you need to know in a few pages and gives you more knowledge on how to gain high marks in the exam. It mainly focuses on the specification and even includes Exam questions and Examiner comments, which i found very usefull, in understanding how examiners give out marks. However, you would have to know the chapters in advance because in the book you are expected to have previous knowledge of the basis of the chapters, including stuff you would have learnt in AS. I would also recommend that you don't use the book to revise on it's own because more detail could be found in an economics text book and i found that the guide was only aimed at passing the exam. But overall, i wouldn't have understood the chapters more if i hadn't had this book. The way the book is organised makes it easy to read and understand.
