French Connection, 5 Nov. 2003
the french connection, the title makes you think what is it? the french connection is one of the best films ever made, the virtual unknowns of billy friedkin and gene hackman (critically acclaimed after this film) came together to produce the riverting accoutn of two new york cops that pulled off the biggest drugs bust in US history.this true story tells the tales of 'popeye' doyle and 'cloudy' grosso that hoped to break a ring a narcotics smuggling and uncover the french connection.hackman and roy scheider begin a deadly pursuit of the elusive frenchmen that takes them far behond the duty of their jobs (if you buy the dvd,the extras tell you more about the much publisised careers of egan and grosso).william friedkin brings to the fore one of the best cop films of all time.
this wonderful picture won 5 oscars including best actor for hackman and best director for friedkin.i urge you to buy this masterpiece.
