4.0 out of 5 stars Nice product and the little guy is very happy with ..., 9 Dec. 2014

Nice product and the little guy is very happy with it, I do feel for the money that the toy should do more, the train has some lights and sounds but beyond that there isn't much more. One carriage has some stacking blocks and another is a shape sorter. At the end of the day though, it's not for me!

These were poor quality, not all printed and some tore as they were being blown up. Not worth the money!

The Retribution: 7 (Tony Hill)
The Retribution: 7 (Tony Hill)
by Val McDermid
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read let down by the sudden ending, 22 Sept. 2011
I've read each of the Tony Hill books and this one started out with a different premise than what had gone before. Rather than the standard issue serial killer (although there is one in the story, he is relegated to a secondary plot item) the characters are confronted with the return of Jacko Vance from the 2nd book in the series.

The story is well paced and executed with a couple of exceptions (Please be aware there are some slight spoilers below):

1.) The Serial Killer the team are chasing starts out as a major plot point but quickly becomes background noise to the Jacko Vance plot. This results in the capture of the killer late in the novel to little fanfare. I feel the two plots could have been intertwined better rather than the serial killer (generally the focal point of these books) being a supporting character.

2.) The Ending. I thought the climax was good and it offered an interesting twist, however I feel the book cuts itself short with the last page leaving more questions than answers. Whilst this has certainly got me very interested in where McDermid will take the series next, I also feel that such climaxes don't work well in books unless the next part of the story is but a few months away. Unless Val breaks with her usual routine, we could be waiting 1-2 years to pick up the story by which point the suspense has gone.

Overall, I would recommend this book to fans of the series as it shows the main characters in a new, unfamiliar scenario which is refreshing but I can't help but feel that a bit more dedication to the serial killer plot and an ending that rounded things out somewhat better would have pushed this into five star territory.

Star Trek The Next Generation: Volume 5.2 [VHS]
Star Trek The Next Generation: Volume 5.2 [VHS]
VHS

4.0 out of 5 stars "Make it So Number One", 13 Aug. 2002
This Video Features the 4th, 5th and 6th Episodes of The Fifth Season of The Next Generation.
Silicon Avatar-A Strange Storm attacks a Site for a Federation Colony whilst Several Key Enterprise Crewmembers are visiting it to view its Progress and The Enterprise is away on another Mission.
Disaster-The Enterprise is Hit Several Times By a Quantum Fissure Killing the Bridge Officer, Starting a Plasma Fire, Disabling Many Systems (Turbolifts, Computer Terminals) and Isolating the Bridge from the Rest of The Ship.
The Game-Riker is Tricked into Playing a Hypnotic Game whilst on Shore Leave. Upon returning to The Enterprise with The Game, He Replicates it, allowing The Crew Members to All Become Hypnotised before they realise it.
This Video is Very Good, Except for The First Episode, Which Starts Out Very Well but Ends Rather Suddenly. The Disaster is Good but it was a Brilliant Idea which was Utilised at the Wrong Time, It would have Worked Out Much Better as a Two Part Season Finale and Season Opener Between Two Seasons as There is too Much Going on for a Single Episode. The Game is also a Good Episode which Works Out Perfectly into the One Episode.
This Video is Still Worth The Money despite the few flaws and I thoroughly Recommend it to any fans!

5.0 out of 5 stars 100% 10/10 Full Marks etc, 13 Aug. 2002
This review is from: WWF: Summerslam 2000 [DVD] (DVD)
This was One of the First WWF (Now WWE) Pay Per Views I saw and I have to say that Very Few WWF/E Pay Per Views since then have been this good! The Matches include Eddie Gurrero and Chyna vs. Val Venis and Trish Stratus for the Intercontinental Title (Yes a Tag Match!) Too Cool & Rikishi vs. Right to Censor (A VERY Good Match!) and Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho (2 out of 3 Falls) The Main event of Triple H vs. Kurt Angle vs. The Rock for the WWF Title is also very good. I definitely Recommend this to any WWF/E Fan!

I have watched and enjoyed Captain Scarlet since I was 7 years old. This DVD features the first ever 6 six episodes. The extra features are far from great but i still recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good...But Not great, 17 July 2002
The Second Season of the Simpsons was a lot better than the first with the voices for characters being individualised (In s1 Carl, Lenny and Flanders amongst others had their voices changed many times) and the animation improving by the episode. The Episodes in S1 always seemed to be more sitcom than animated comedy but S2 established the simpsons as a good mix of both with better episodes (3 men and a comic book, Oh Brother where art thou, principal charming and bart gets hit by a car to name a few) establishing the simpsons as a force that would give FOX something to boast about, but in my opinion it was seasons 3 (1992) till about 7 (1998) that were the best simpsons seasons and I can't wait for season 3 on DVD later this year!
