5.0 out of 5 stars Just like "The Secret" but with a little more detailed, 22 Sept. 2010
This review is from: The Power (Hardcover)
If you haven't read "The Secret" before, "The Power" really squeezes the beautiful concept of the law of attraction with many examples and suggestions on how to train your mind into positive thinking, with the inevitable sense of well being that follows it.
If you have read "The Secret" before, you will find many things in common between both the books but there's additional material that offers plenty of food for thoughts. It is well written, easy, pleasant, the whole package is brilliant. I personally liked it.
Of course it is a matter of making the most of it and work from the depth of your thoughts rather than expecting the book to change your life, because this is about how you can make it work.
In the rights hands, The Secret is a powerful tool to improve people's lives, while The Power is a powerful tool that makes it even better.
Certainly a book to have and why not, a lovely present for the people you love.

3.0 out of 5 stars a brief introduction on how to change the thought about money, 22 Sept. 2010
this book is a quick and easy approach that gives the basics on how to change negative thoughts about money. Like with most books on the genre, this can give you a few ideas and suggestions on something that the reader must develop in his/her mind. Without too many expectations, the book is ok and worth reading, in the knowledge that only you can really make the most of it and it won't do it for you.

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: tlc (BBC) [2002] [DVD] (DVD)
I simply love it, and not just because shearsmith is my fav actor, but because the whole serie just makes me laugh.
I recommend it to anyone who likes comedy, a good laugh and a change to the too many series devoted to hospitals :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Class isn't water... is WATERS!, 23 July 2008
This review is from: Ca Ira (Audio CD)
Before I go on, I would like to point out that I don't get paid to write what follows ;)
My technical and personal knowledge suggests me to say that this album is an immense masterpiece, dense of emotions and shining in full amazement. Technically speaking this album is amazing, there's harmony between the scores (written by Roger Waters) and the performance of the whole choir and orchestra.
Obviously I wouldn't suggest to purchase this album to Roger Waters fans that only listen to the "rock" side of his music productions, but for any open minded and hearted listeners I really recommend this album.
What has always been a complete distinction of Roger Waters from the other big artists out there is the amount of feeling and passion that he expresses in such a genuine way without losing in quality.
The live performance in Rome has been just as great.
What else can I say?
The passion for war themes has always been in Roger's music, you can also feel the friendship that moved the long creation of this album.
I just LOVE Ca Ira, just like all the Pink Floyd Waters era and his soloist albums.
Well done... not everybody can be a mastermind in every genre they dive in!
Class isn't water... is WATERS!

5.0 out of 5 stars The true soul that kept Pink Floyd going emerges in his soloist carreer, 16 July 2008
When Waters left the Pink Floyd, as a long time fan of the band, I thought it was the end of an era.
This album, like the following albums of Roger Waters, made me feel that rather than the end it was the beginning of an era, especially of a chain of records made from a true artist, such as Waters and his real, genuine expression still capable to penetrate heart and soul of the listerers who keep their ears clean.
Both as a Waters fan and as a musician, I can tell that this album is technically stunning, emotionally deep and really amazing and I suggest to get (like I did) the following albums as well.
Let's not forget that Roger Waters is not only a truly good bassist, a passionate singer and songwriter, an uncorruptible artist but also a monstruous composer (check Ca Ira).
So yes, 5 stars from me, definitely!
