5.0 out of 5 stars Swing with Barry, 5 April 2011
Was never a big fan of Barry but have recently just got into his music, after having purchased quite a few of his back catalogue from Amazon this has to be one of my favourites. Very good orchestrations with superb vocals and he's not afraid of attempting some difficult numbers. If you haven't got this album then give it a go you just might like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A different collection from Ella, 1 Feb 2011
This review is from: Misty Blue (MP3 Download)
This Country based collection from Ella is certainly different from her usual Songbooks and other collaborations, if you are an Ella Fitzgerald fan and have most
of her Jazz albums give this one a try as I think you might like it. There is nothing here that will frighten the purists as most of the tracks have that 'Patsy Cline' feel to the production with lots of strings and backing vocals. Stand out track is 'It's Only Love', a great track that has become my favourite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Early Olivia, 1 Feb 2011
Had this album on an old LP and almost played it to death, so glad it is now available for download. Olivia's voice is superb, very subtle with some great country numbers to get her teeth into. Just listen to 'Goodbye Again' it has
a superb melancholy about it, and remains my favourite to this day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Selection from Connie, 16 Jan 2011
Had these Albums on LP's for years so was very pleased when they finally released this double collection. Quality is very good but some numbers do appear to have been recorded in a different studio via a different producer, but that doesn't detract from the fact that this CD is great to sing along to in the car. Hope they release more double packs soon as there is still a whole lot of Connie recordings still to be heard.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Glen's best, 30 Dec 2010
This is one of my favourite Glen Campbell albums, the production is superb with sweeping strings and gorgeous orchestral arrangements. The selection of songs will please most people and not a bum note to be heard. Stand out numbers include the classic 'If you could read my mind' and 'Today is mine'. This is not what I would call classic country music but this is an album that is very hard to dislike.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unusual collection of songs, 30 Dec 2010
This is very eclectic mix of singers and songs. Stand out numbers are the upbeat version of Summertime and a great Nina Simone rendition of 'The More I see You'. If you are a collector of Jazz music then this album will not offer anything new, but still a great compilation for those new to the genre.

Superb dance collection from Almighty, quality of production is top class and the proof of the pudding is when you turn the volume up to night club level. Solid bass with superb vocals.

4.0 out of 5 stars An odd hits collection, 26 Oct 2010
This review is from: Lulu Best of (Audio CD)
Purchased this because this contains her version of 'My Boy Lollipop', this album also contains her hits from the late seventies and is quite a good little collection of some tracks never before released.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Different, 26 Oct 2010
This album is so different to Sandie's previous, being better produced and sounding so fresh, the choice of songs is very eclectic and a nice surprise. A million miles from Puppet On A String.
