I loved it! I thought is was a much better bio than Tom Jones "Just Help Yourself" and as always the shipping was to die for. Everything pkged so nicely, I have been very pleased with all that I have ordered. I still think it is odd sometimes how many of the same stories are in the different bio's but with totally different people or place. Sometimes I wonder if the authors read other bio's and then add their own twist. I hate that because then you wonder how true the book really is. I am reading another one right that I think might be the best yet. It is Tom Jones Life in Picture's. I will let you know. Nancy Beth

I chose this rating because I love anything that Tom does. He is and will always be my all time favorite. He has a voice like no other. I was watching some clips on You Tube of Tom Jones last night and I couldn't believe that I found a song that just wasn't for
him. The song was "You Light Up My Life". I love the song too, but for me they just didn't work together. There is a song that Tom sings that I really like, "With These Hands", I wish he would sing it more in his concerts and CD's. He puts so much tenderness and the phrasing is awesome. Best wishes on your summer concert tours, hope I see you in Vegas. Take care! Nancy

Sitting on a chair in the middle of a room, What I heard was him pouring his soul out to me. I cried, it really got to me, I am not being dramatic, his expressions and choked throat sounds were feelings so deeply embedded in his soul, I just couldn't help but cry, I felt such sadness. I love that Tom is doing so many different things with his music. JUST LET IT RIP TOM!!!!!!

This review is from: Praise & Blame (Audio CD)
I have been a fan of Tom Jones since the beginning. First it was the looks and the movements (oh ya) then I said by damn that guy can really sing, he isn't just something to look at. I put the head phones on and I hear tones, feelings, attitudes, all sorts of sounds that I don't hear from other singers, I just sit and take every little bit in and with each song I feel almost like I am watching a movie or video. The recording of "Thunderball " is an example of what I am trying to convey. The tones that he makes his voice deliver are unmistakenly exact. He will take a phrase and almost caress it and then come full bore with the next. As I have stated before "God surely did bless him with a golden voice" and he has used it well. Praise & Blame is an example of what I am trying to say.
