5.0 out of 5 stars An overlooked horror classic!, 14 Dec 2006
This review is from: Lady In A Cage [DVD] (DVD)
The first thing that makes this film so unique is that is does not need to rely on heavy amounts of gore to thrill the viewer (although there is some). Olivia de Havilland shines as the film's damsel in distress when she is trapped in her in-home elevator after a power cut. After raising the alarm, she is soon visited by an old tramp, an alcoholic prostitute and a deadly gang, lead by James Caan in his first major film role. Caan gives an electrifying performance as does Ann Sothern as the boozy Sade. Overall, Lady In A Cage is a film that all modern horror films take note of. You will not be dissapointed!

4.0 out of 5 stars Disturbing..., 5 Jun 2006
This review is from: Secret Ceremony [DVD] (1968) (DVD)
This late 60s psycho-thriller is miles ahead of it's modern competitors. It is the chilling tale of a bereaved mother (Taylor) and a younger woman (Farrow) in the same situation. They meet on a bus and each realise a strong resemblance to their deceased loved ones. However, it is not long before the girl's meddlesome aunts and perverted stepfather (Mitchum) start to interfere. This is the perfect film for those who enjoy tense thrillers but due to the controversial factor, may not suit everybody.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure joy..., 28 Feb 2006
I could not believe my eyes when I came across this collection. It is fantastic to see all the old Sonic classics rolled into one! Like many, I grew up playing these games and instantly all the happy memories came flooding back. The player is taken on a fun-filled journey through the different ages of Sonic from the original game (the very original being the Game Gear version which was the same one used for the Master System format) through to the biggest change; Sonic 3D! As if all this is not enough, all the hidden little gems just add to the experience. An essential purchase for video gamers of all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Slick, stylish and great value!, 5 Sep 2005
This mp3 player is essential for anybody who likes their music on the go with no baggage; it is both incredibly small and light, and great value at only £24.99! Although it may not be able to hold as many tracks as some of its rivals, that does not stop it being a worthy purchase. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars An essential purchase, 4 July 2004
At first I was not sure about buying the DVD version of this album as I already had the CD and some of my favourites such as Holiday, Crazy For You & Live To Tell were not present. However, after buying it, I now prefer the DVD version. The reason for this is that the songs are in their original form and not mixed like on the CD. Plus videos such as the superbly camp Material Girl, the glossy Express Yourself and the 1940s themed Vogue all stand out as music video classics. Other highlights include the emotional Oh Father and the very early Lucky Star. If you do not own any Madonna albums I would strongly recommend this DVD album and 1989's Like A Prayer on CD.
