The best SolidWorks text around, 5 Feb 2009
I purchased the SW 2007 Bible and the SW Surfacing book, and this one does not disappoint either. This is not a beginner's book (although to be honest it can be used as one by a keen learner), nor is it a desktop command reference guide. By approaching each area of the software from a practising designer's point of view, the author gives a unique and very hands on approach, pointing out best practise techniques, flaws in the software, and workarounds.
This is an ideal purchase for any Solidworks user who has used the software for more than a few weeks as it lets you dip into sections as needed - it is like having your own tech support guru on hand when you want to learn about something new, or simply remind yourself of something you haven't used in a long time.
All the examples in the text are provided on the CD so it provides a very rapid learning experience.
