Essential for any aspiring Architect, 19 Feb. 2013
I must say I'm very disappointed by the ignorance of the low rated comments, this book is worth more than gold.
Ching has contributed a lot to help students understand architectural principles, designing, techniques, construction methods etc.
As a 3rd year undergrad architectural student, I'm glued to this book and carry it around all the time. Definitely a must have, it doesn't tell you simply tell you how to design a building, it explains all the principles about the form, circulation, access and much more, providing beautifully drawn example of famous work of architecture.
For any students who are thinking of getting this book, I suggest you go to your uni library to get a taste of it to see for yourself.
