James Arthur (Deluxe) [Explicit] [+video]
James Arthur (Deluxe) [Explicit] [+video]
Price: 6.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect, 16 Dec 2013
We all know that James has had some troubles recently but let's just focus on the music.

James possesses a fantastic, soulful voice and it's a real shame that everyone has forgotten why this man won the x-factor in the first place.

There are some real gems here but it's about 3-4 tracks too long.

Maybe the next album will be perfect once James rids himself of the x-factor shackles.

3.0 out of 5 stars Less about the band, more about the man, 27 May 2013

This is a good book but I think John's cocaine habit must have affected his memory as he cannot seem to recall chart positions of his band's singles, plus he skirts over the Andy Taylor leaving for the second time debacle - something that Andy himself has at least noted in his own autobiography. Between the two, I prefer Andy's but John tells a touching story, particularly when talking about his relationship with his father.

Continuing where the brilliant 'Every Kingdom' left off, these tracks show a darker side to Ben. The timing of this release probably got lost in the commotion of Ben winning two Brit awards, therefore could get overlooked as people rush to buy the album instead. People should buy the album of course, but take a minute to check this out. I just hope that Ben now take his time to record a consistent follow-up and doesn't feel the need to bow down to public pressure

Robbie has made some classic albums. This isn't one of them. In fact, I prefer 'Rudebox' over this. Singles aside, there are 2/3 tracks of note. The rest feels like Robbie has stopped caring, which is surprising since the Take That reunion seemed to have regenerated him. Let's hope he gets his mojo back soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Track of 2012, 27 May 2013

Just the best dance track of 2012...and I'm still listening to it now. I thought it was Disclosure who made this track but, having heard some more of his material, it is Sam Smith's voice which gives this track it's triumphant edge.

4.0 out of 5 stars Underrated but Brilliant, 27 May 2013

Okay, so the original line-up split before this was released. Okay, so it could be interpreted as rejected tracks from 'Waiting for the Siren's Call' album. The reality is....a classic New Order album with all of the very traits we have come to know and love.

I love this band in both of their incarnations. The 80s saw them playing indie, jazzy music but the 90s saw them transform into one of the decade's best dance acts. This collection pulls together the best of their two albums ('Walking Wounded' and 'Temperamental' - check both out), along with remixes of other tracks and, of course, the dancefloor monster that is 'Missing'. A must-have purchase

I came across this track purely by accident but I'm so glad I discovered it. Some say Morrissey lacks emotion in his vocals - this track will prove those people wrong. A beautiful song.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the finest things Bowie has ever sung, 27 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
....well in the last 30 years anyway. There's not much to rave about 80s Bowie. It started promisingly with Scary Monsters and gradually went downhill towards 'Never Let Me Down'. In between, there were some flashes of brilliance, including this gem. if you want the definitive 80s Bowie collection, download the 'Scary Monsters' album, the 3 singles off 'Let's Dance' plus 'Criminal World', 'Loving the Alien', 'Neighbourhood Threat' and 'Blue Jean' from 'Tonight', 'Absolute Beginners', 'Time Will Crawl' from 'Never Let Me Down' and this. Discard everything else

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lost Classic, 27 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The 'Let's Dance' album was, for me, an album of two halves. 50% was mediocre and 50% was classic Bowie. Those classic tracks were the 3 singles and this track, which has an excellent bass line and brilliant guitar playing from Stevie Ray Vaughan. Everyone remembers and loves the 3 singles but download this to get another classic Bowie track.
