Life and Career Coach in one brilliant book, 7 Oct. 2013
This was a comfortable and thought provoking read that'll be beneficial for those wanting to use their likes, dislikes and passions to get onto the right career path, or are trying to get themselves and/or family unstuck from a rut. Rus Slater has you looking within to honestly reflect on what you want from life as a whole through various activities, animations and real life case studies.
A great read from cover to cover as it comprehensively without being exhaustive, shows you all the ingredients that contribute to making you whole and then describes how you can use them to shape your success. It can also be a timely reference if you find you need to add a bit of flare to life to avoid it feeling too familiar.
I liked that the book encourages you look for beneficial transferable traits, encouraging home makers that think they've been out of work for 5 years to look at their life anew, that parenting involves being a counselor, peacekeeper and teacher of life skills and that it isn't just `time off'. I'd recommend this to anyone that's evaluating their current career or is looking to stay on top of their work/life balance.
