Hillary For President, 29 Aug 2014
Hillary Clinton in her deeply insightful account of her four years as US Secretary of State gives the broadest overview of the current state of global politics and her role in the sweeping changes that dogged adherence to keen diplomatic strategies can have in resolving conflict, creating democracies from dictatorships and as a powerful advocate of human rights, especially woman's rights, Hard Choices is a history of the state of the world in one volume. Powerful prose, warm humour, hard bargaining, Hillary lays it all out in a dynamic, gripping tale of despots and heroes. She does not mince her words one little bit. She tells honestly of those she likes, those she does not and her reasons for both stances, and the role diplomatic compromise has had to play in bringing about the best results possible in some of the most difficult countries on earth. She is one of the world's most remarkable, inspiring women and I cannot recommend her book highly enough.
