4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the money, better than the other one, 8 Feb 2012
*Update*
Due to recent developments in PS3 homebrew scene I can now tell you definitively the temperature change I experience with my PS3 slim (65nm RSX). I used Uncharted 2 played for an hr with the fans off but still on the stand CPU 65*C GPU 70*C then with the fans on played for 90 mins CPU 61*C GPU 68*C.

There are two slightly different versions I bough on amazon the PJP supplied "MJ738" and the TCT supplied "TC-738". Both boxes have fan speeds rated at 2800rpm all I can say is from my experience the "MJ738" from PJP has much better airflow/stronger/faster fans, they have different labels on the fans but otherwise look the same. PJP also supplied a 1m USB extension for a few pence more.

General: the cable for the USB pass though comes out on the right so on a PS3 can only be in the right socket or gets in the way of the other socket. This product works, in its limited capacity. without the stand the underside of my PS3 burns my hand, its enough to deform the plastic over time, with the stand after hours it remains just warm to the touch. It lifts the and tilts the PS3 downward allowing better air flow and stopping the build up of heat between it and the surface it sits on.

After a months use occasionally one fan makes a horrible sound at start up which goes after a minute but will probably get worse with age, its cheap for a reason.

Update 2:
Due to recent developments in PS3 homebrew scene I can now tell you definitively the temperature change I experience with my PS3 slim (65nm RSX). I used Uncharted 2 played for an hr with the fans off but still on the stand CPU 65*C GPU 70*C then with the fans on played for 90 mins CPU 61*C GPU 68*C.

A quick update:
Turns out that the models are in fact different, this one here "TC-738" and the PJP supplied "MJ738". Both boxes have fan speeds rated at 2800rpm all I can say is from my experience the "MJ738" has better airflow/stronger/faster fans, they have different labels on them but otherwise look the same.

Ive bought two of these one from this page by seller "TCT" and one from 3 Fan usb 2.0 Notebook, PS3, laptop cooler fan, laptop cooler pad, laptop cooling pad, plus 1m Meter USB 2.0 A Male to Female Extension Cable by PJP electronics seller "PJP electronics" and though they present the same they are not.

Most importantly the PJP item I received has stronger fans, on a flat surface you can feel the suction! Second the item here had only 2 out of 4 of the screws on each fan installed which made for a slight but constant vibration (star lost), PJP had all 4 screw installed and no vibration. And finally PJP include an extension USB which allows you to use either USB on PS3 without blocking its neighbour or get a free USB extension cable. Another star lost because the USB pass-through was bent out of shape enough to make inserting a USB into it initially impossible, repeated brute force has made it acceptable, PJP item had no problems.

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT ideal for PS3!, 17 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This problem is said to effect most drives larger than 250GB from all manufacturers, the WD XXXXBPVT range for sure.

To give there drives greener/eco friendly figures WD have made the drives SPIN DOWN (power down) after only 8 SECONDS inactivity!!!
What does this mean? Leave the PS3 at XMB idle for 8+ seconds HDD spins down and you will now experience a 2-3 second lag before the ps3 will respond again due to the HDD needing to spin up first. This gets irritating especially when it happens consecutively which if you use your PS3 for anything other than gaming it will eg iplayer, web browsing or even while talking to your mate deciding what game to play...
I have not experienced problems in game that I can definitely blame on the drive and dont see that it would effect in-game unless the game didnt call any data for 8+ seconds, maybe when paused...

Luckily this isnt a problem in a laptop where the OS can take control of the spin down/power saving.

I have contacted SONY and I told them its an in game problem too, was told the info will be passed on to the relevant department but Ive seen the iplayer issue discussed on the official site since late 2009

WD contacted. No alternate firmware or jumper fixes and they dont see it as there problem, "...its the OS that should handle power saving...."

*UPDATE*
Can confirm the lag is present when resuming a from a "plain pause" i.e. no music or video during pause screen (e.g. Batman AA). The PSN game "Fat Princes" stutters every 10s or so making it unplayable/too aggravating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, 14 April 2011

This review is from: Jack Pyke Stealth Camo Tape
I decided to get Pyke tape after viewing the video from user "gunvidder" on youtube [watch?v=kj3WCw9t2vE].

Anyway happy to report this is good stuff and does stick to itself only. It is reusable to a point, the rubber will age and the material may need a clean. Does leave a slight residue from the white rubber nothing major to remove.

Could do with being 5.0M rather than the 4.5M provided but the length provided is enough to do the barrel and some of the stock, you would need two rolls if you wanted to do the entire gun.
Ive uploaded a few pics of it applied to my underlever air rifle.

Would recommend.

UPDATE: Oil will make the product sticky and unusable in any significant quantity.

FoneM8 - PS3 Move Silicone Skin Case Cover Set - Black
FoneM8 - PS3 Move Silicone Skin Case Cover Set - Black

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as nice, 19 Mar 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
as Invero PS3 Move Silicone Case Skin Black for Move and Navigation Controller - subjective

They are very similar except for the material used, this one is thinner and a dryer rubber which changes the feel and grip.
Unfortunately the skins I received have an unpleasant *plastic/toxic* smell to them which comes off onto your hands, this is even after washing with soap overnight. Im sure it will pass in time or with a real good clean and time... Seller has been contacted.

Both include move and navi controller and have the issue described below:

The other lost star is because after about 20 min of table tennis or any arm swinging games the skin shimmys off and to the right (Im right handed). While a poor failing this doesnt seem like a big deal until you realise the tiny thin strips between the move button and rest of the regular buttons will snap very quickly if you dont re-shimmy the skin. This is a 2 part issue, the move is super smooth and the INSIDE of the skin is too.
Note will effect navi too but much less of a problem in all respects...

My home made fix: (Reduces issue not fix)Take a small pea size ball of blue tack divide in half and roll them very thin, insert into the groove that runs along the move (stopping 5-10mm short from any joins ie. the base, start and select buttons) roll down flat+smooth with a cylinder eg AA battery or clipper lighter. Getting the skin back on will be harder but thats the result of the increased traction.

*Update*

Decided to return the item because of toxic smell. Seller (Grey Mobiles) provided me with a prepaid label for return. It did take them 3 weeks from when I posted and a few emails but I have been refunded.

Just noticed the picture shows a bobble textured skin this is not the case with mine and Im glad for it as there is no need and it would probably feel unpleasant.

I really like this skin as it helps reduces the effect of sweat build up and turns the slick somewhat slippery move controller into a much more grippy light stick! The skin obviously adds a small amount of bulk but I found the move a bit thin in my hands anyway.

The lost star is because after about 20 min of table tennis or any arm swinging games the skin shimmys off and to the right (Im right handed).

How Invero could fix this: Issue 2 thin strips with one sticky side and a rubbery side to stick down each side of the move and maybe another wide bandround the middle.

NB http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0044UFATS/ref=oss_product is not the same its thinner and feels dry in comparison and less grippy this might be to your liking but may have worse slipping effect (I immediately blue tacked it)
Includes both move and navi controler skins.

4.0 out of 5 stars Value spliter for 2 outputs. *Updated*, 4 July 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I read a previous review by David not sure if got a bad splitter but Ive had this for a few months used for playtv in London and saw only a 2% drop in the signal which resulted in no visible difference for either my tv or playtv. The splitter itself is solid but feels a bit cheap due to the seams not being smoothed, its a no frills splitter.

How to set this up:

Take your male aerial output (what you normally stick into the TV) and plug into the splitter, you can now use an extension cable on each side of the splitter for your TV/PVR/Second TV etc.

*Update*
So I moved recently and came to put my av system back together only to find the cradle on the female input of the splitter was damaged (see picture) it revealed brittle oxidised metal. The other side was still very solid so I believe this is a one off.

In terms of functionality yes it still works but signal drops it between 15-25%. Still good value and recommended, I ordered a new one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good first plane, 2 July 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Ive had this aeroplane since late 2007 and would highly recommend it as a first time flier for kids and adults alike.

The good: You can expect flight time 12-20 minutes from a 20-30 minute charge, very durable Ive crashed many times weakest point being the tail but any damage can be easily repaired with sellotape. Normal flight height its about 1.5 - 3 meters but with a light headwind I got high enough to get out or radio range about 15 meters ( holding the control above my head 2.5m). Has a trim function on the control for straight flight.

The bad: Indoor or very light wind ONLY. On my model even with the trim couldnt quite get straight flight at all speeds. Tail heavy flight can lead to diving and rising like a sine wave, correct by throttling out or doing a sweaping turn. The direction control system wont allow high accuracy (works best by tapping rather than holding).

Just flown it now got 15 minutes flight, 3 years on and it still makes me grin, fantastic fun at a bargain!!

Take looking at the Silverlit X-Twin Speedy Plus when available as a faster larger alternative, buy in store to avoid high delivery cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product overall, 11 May 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As has been stated before a very solid bracket build quality good but not excellent. Would have needed two to fit but I decided to detach the part that screws into the wall and mount it separately first, recommend doing this as the product is very heavy and it makes the job of fixing so much easier. Also obvious as it may sound dont rely the included spirit level its only meant as a guide.

PS3 Slim Hub Stand (PS3)
PS3 Slim Hub Stand (PS3)

4.0 out of 5 stars Bargain PS3 Slim Stand with 4 usb hub OR 3 usb + SD card reader, 11 May 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fist impressions, the stand arrived today and out of the box you get the stand and nothing else no information of any kind which was slightly odd. Fitting was straight forward aline the PS3s rubber foot (the one closest to the USBs) with the gap at the front of the stand and push straight down gently. The fit is soft but firm (hugs rather than snapping into place) there are vents in the stand so you shouldnt loose any air circulation. One of the gripping rubber strips on bottom of the stand was not cut quite to size (too wide) and arrived half in half out so needed to be reseated and forced into place seems OK now.

Important things to note: As per title activating the card reader (operated via a switch) will disable the furthest USB, active ports are indicated by a red LED. There is a 5v DC jack at the back which I can only assume is for powering the HUB externally despite its saying DC OUT. On a power note Ive powered a 2.5" drive (2 usb cables one plugged into PC and the into the hub) while charging 1 controller no problem 2 controllers charging and the drive wont spin up, this is totally normal and to be expected. The colour doesnt quite match but isnt so different thats it distracts. The usb cable can be stowed under the stand so if you just want a low cost stand and you are uninterested in the usb functionality this is still an OK choice, there are cheaper alternatives.

Attention!! "Usually dispatched within 3 to 6 weeks."

One star lost due to rubber feet issue, lack of information about the card reader switch and the long delivery period (12 days for me) but Im very happy and you should be too.
