"Lost in Space": The Ultimate Unauthorised Trivia Challenge for the Classic TV Series

Always liked the series and the characters - great family entertainment. Not an 'official' trivia record but very entertaining and welcome to fans of the series. I always preferred Lost in Space to Star Trek which was always too full of its own self importance for my liking.

Packaging is unwieldy but great to have her early work available on CD.

More for the completist but the quality of the performance is examplary throughout.

I only remember the hit 'Green Tambourine' but was very impressed with the quality of all the material on this album which I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. The first review by 'Dodger' covers it fully - highly recommended if you want to listen to music that lifts the spirits.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock/Blues, 24 Aug 2008
This review is from: Sam Apple Pie (Audio CD)
I first saw this band around 1971 -1972 at the Lyceum Ballroom in London when they did all nighters.

They had a bluesy/rock sound with twin lead guitars (one dressed like a clown!) - very, earthy exciting sound with a a charismatic lead singer reminiscent of the early Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull.

I bought the album second-hand on the strength of their performance and was not disappointed (like most students I was not flush with money at the time so was very selective in my purchases).

They only did one other studio album to my knowledge which I hope will be reissued in the not too distant future (they have one guaranteed purchase).

Fond memories of this fine east London based group who deserved more commercial success.

A homage to the Herbert van Thal Pan books of Horror collections of the '60's.

Brings back fond memories of short horror stories in the gothic tradition. If you liked the Pan books of horror stories, this series should appeal to you. The style and quality is varied and interesting - just like the old Pan stories, some will appeal more than others depending on your own taste. There always seems to be one stand out story which draws you in and makes the series memorable.

My own particular favourite is the John Travis entry 'Dissertation on a Mouthful of Seaweed', a well crafted 'monster' story which happens to be one of the longer narratives in the book.

Very enjoyable - I look forward to future releases in what I hope will be an extended series.
