5.0 out of 5 stars It works., 4 Feb. 2016

Works spot on. You do need to download install software from site, but then its plain sailing.

Only moan is the price - seams a con that you pay £3.50 p&p on top of an expensive purchase.

Price: £13.38

2.0 out of 5 stars Fell out of a xmas cracker., 2 Feb. 2016
Christmas cracker mouse. Small & ULTRA lightweight so difficult to use if you are used to a heavier rodent and pointer can 'drift'. Base of mouse isnt totally flat so it rocks a little which again reduces accuracy. wheel is very sensitive. Generally feels cheap and nasty.

2.0 out of 5 stars Clunk CLICK every trip., 31 Jan. 2016
WARNING - try before you buy.

Centre wheel has REALLY loud 'CLICK !' - or perhaps its a 'clunk' which needs more than usual finger pressure- this wll drve you up the wall if you use this to point-n-click (I do a lot of CAD work).

Back to the trusty M505 for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Returned for refund - rubbish boots, 30 Jan. 2016
Rubbish boots. Bought from screwfix, and returned for money back the following weekend. Inner lining is rucked up around toecap area so rubs against toes - would be really uncomfortable quickly. Wore them for pressure washing driveway, and after an hour my socks were soaked 'cos the boots leak around the bottom of the tongue. Absolute rubbish - especially when you consider the price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dont bother, 23 Jan. 2016

No, I would not buy another book by the author because:

1) This was a the third in a trilogy and did not work as a standalone book, so total cost of £27 !!! which is ridiculous.

2) Writing style is awful. Author ruins the story flow by CONSTANT unneccessary name-checking: of towns, villages & geographical features, military units, equipment... all of which mean absolutely nothing unless you have a small scale map handy plus an in-depth understanding of army hierachy & tech capability. Strangely, each bit of military kit has a 'mini-story' around it - so for instance, we have an Avro Vulcan chapter, a USA attack sub chapter, a Harrier GR3 chapter etc. - then that piece of kit is never mentioned again. Does it matter to the story which unit a trooper belongs to?

Basically, the Author pads the book out with 'structure and place' and neglects REAL story telling.

3) The script seems lifted from '7 days to the Rhine' - perhaps this explains why the story is largely a list of troop movements.

4) Odd character balance. The Nato side is mostly written from the perspective of a Lieutenant or lower, and the Russian side is characterised from the viewpoint of Colonels and higher !

5) What about the Chinese? or the North Koreans? seems they dont feature in the Author's world view.

6) Book 1 is TEDIOUS and mostly build up. Book 2 chunters along from action to action. The conclusion in book 3 is rushed & barely 3 pages. Pretty amateur stuff.

7) ALL aircraft ground attack missions in this story, are unsupported by 'wild weasel' anti-aircraft-artillery suppression missions. So a high proportion of the attack aircraft are shot down. The reality is that since the vietnam war (at least) the first thing NATO ever do is attack the enemy's anti-aircraft systems ! - this is BASIC stuff that the author should have known about and reflected in the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars A review of reviews, 11 Jan. 2016
Remarkable - the only 5 star reviews are from 'vine voice',,, this is called 'salting' and a very dodgy marketing practice. The other comments (like mine) are from people who have not handled the item.

1.0 out of 5 stars Walts soggy biscuit, 10 Jan. 2016

Rubbish. An entire book that is an intro - yes, an entire book to set the scene for the following books 2 & 3. Padded out with barely relevant true 'mini stories' which you could as easily read about on wikipedia (Korea airlines shoot-down for instance). The author LOVES to namedrop military hardware acronyms, and then goes on to descirbe that item/ system in detail so breaking any literary flow - this is why books have glosseries! Cliches abound: Russian tankies guzzle vodka, Brits endlessly stop for a brew, Yank tanks have coolbox with cola.

While on the subject of namedropping, the Author lists plenty of of German towns / villages and then lists the Ruskie / NATO divsion there. This means absolutely ZERO to the reader - the names and numbers are meaningless. Lists are BORING.

Massive plot hole: SATELLITES existed with infra-red imaging - and would have tracked the endless divisions of Ruskie tanks heading through East Germany to their start positions.... but apparently in this story NATO is none the wiser and relies on sneaky beaky spies to 'discover' what is happening. This lack of knowledge is worrying when you consider the author was supposedly in military intelligence for 10 years.

The cover features a T54 tank. Developed early 1950's and totally obsolete by the mid 80's - its also not mentioned in the book. So why on the front cover?

5.0 out of 5 stars In space no-one can hear you.... oh hang on... seems like they can., 8 Jan. 2016
OK - I didnt expect to rate this at 5* - but its a very good film !

There are of course plot holes & no doubt some techie viewers will point out in delight "that would not work in space". But as an overall entertainment film it was great. Believeable characters, fantastic filmatography, good script, awful NASA hair cuts. Very Ridley Scott. A tad overlong.

Nice to see Sean Bean, again playing his usual part of 'gruff yorkshire character with a heart'.

Xmas prezzy for daughter - who loves it. Can handle full-on shower water, stays stuck to the glass, dead easy to operate. Only downside is it looks very chunky (6" diameter) - but what matters is it works brilliantly.

5.0 out of 5 stars yellow happiness, 3 Jan. 2016

Much better in reality than in pic, the yellow surround is rounded off (bit like an inner tube) so looks great in the bathroom. Its not totally silent, but so quiet that you would only notice in the dead of night. Even had a battery, so set the time and off you go.
