5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic time saver, 15 Nov 2011
I bought these because I was fed up carrying around the normal puncture repair kits, and trying to apply patches using the rubber cement that is pretty hard to work with at the side of the road. Unfortunately I had cause to use a patch within a week of receiving them and I have to say, they are brilliant. Not having to cover the hole with glue means it's much easier to see where the hole is when you apply the patch, and the sticky side firmly attaches to the tube. Even the edges of the patch seemed to be firmly stuck in place within a second (not so easy to achieve that with the usual kits). All I needed was a pair of tyre levers and this kit and my tyre was repaired and inflated within a few minutes (most of that time spent pumping!). A week or so later and the tyre has held no problem, even at 100psi. Yes, they're a little more pricey that a traditional kit, but not much. I won't be using the traditional kits again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it promises, 20 Oct 2011
I bought this product to have some in-car entertainment on a fly-drive holiday in the US and wasn't disappointed. In 900 miles of driving, we only had to change the transmit frequency once due to interference and the sound quality was very good. What's more, the USB port had no trouble providing the necessary current to keep my phone (a Google nexus S) fully charged.

If there's a downside, it's probably that the transmitter is in the middle of the lead, meaning it doesn't have anywhere neat to sit and can flap around a bit. It would have been nice if it had been integrated into the car plug, but i imagine this would have made the plug bulkier and made it difficult to fit in some cars.

Overall, a very good purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product at a great price, 20 Oct 2011
I didn't expect much at this price, but this really does seem great. The light is ever so slightly purer and cooler than the halogen equivalents, but this is only really noticeable when they are next to each other. I very much doubt any visitor would notice any difference from the halogens.

The light output seems to be at least as good as the 50W bulb it replaced. I've tried similar bulbs at 3x the price and not been impressed, so this is a bargain. I bought one as a test, but am now thinking of replacing all our GU10s. If the promised lifetime is realistic then I will be very happy for some time!

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid and secure, 20 Oct 2011
This review is from: Oxford HD Chain lock (Automotive)
i bought this chain to feel a bit more secure leaving my (reasonably expensive) cycle around town. It certainly does that job - it would not be easy to break into this. The chain has a "sold secure" rating (I forget exactly but I think it was rated bronze for motorbikes, silver for bikes). The key mechanism is good and the silver bit in the middle rotates to cover the keyhole.

I bought the 1.5m chain and, frankly, the length has been useful to secure all bits of the bike simultaneously (just: it's a bit of a faff to do it). The only downside is that .5m of solid chain and a mini D-lock is not exactly light. But then again, if it were light, it probably wouldn't be secure. I can still tote it around in a backpack if necessary, but tend to wrap it around the frame. For the price, I'm very happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy, 27 Mar 2011

This is a simple but surprisingly addictive toy. Whether trying to make a cube or just other structures, it's quite good fun for all ages. It comes in a reasonably attractive presentation box, although scale is difficult to discern from the pictures. Each of the balls is a few millimetres in diameter, making the cube itself just a few centimetres across.

2.0 out of 5 stars A budget case with issues, 27 Mar 2011
For the price this was never going to be the perfect case. On the plus side it looks quite nice, wiih it's black, felt-like outer covering. It doesn't add much to the size of the phone and the interior lining is soft and smooth.

However, there are two problems. The first is that the fit is reasonably loose on the Nexus S. The second is that the clasp at the top is fiddly. These two problems combine: the clasp was so fiddly sometimes it didn't do up properly, and the loose fit meant the phone would very easily slip out of the case. After I chipped my phone this way I threw it away and spent a bit more money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great way to store nespresso capsules, 27 Mar 2011
There are quite a few nespresso capsule holder out there, many at injustifiably high prices. This one is at least at a reasonable price and looks very good. It's a pretty simple design: you slide capsules in at the top. You get six capsules per column per side. The sixth capsule at the top of each column doesn't sit as securely as the rest, but it's not likely to fall out. Overall, it does as it promises and looks good. I'd buy it again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple but effective, 25 Mar 2011
This review is from: 66Fit Elite Foam Roller (Sports)
If you're in the market for a foam roller, this is as good a buy as any. The price was reasonable and the roller is constructed of the most durable material - the same type you find in most gyms. It's comfortable without too much give. I've found it very good for working on the ITB/calves and back.

Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case Cover for Google / Samsung Nexus S - Black
Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case Cover for Google / Samsung Nexus S - Black

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality case for very little money, 25 Mar 2011
This case arrived promptly and is of a much better quality than I was expecting. It fits very snugly around my Nexus S and the texturing/raised part on the back looks quite stylish. It's quick and easy to put on/take off, but I can't see it coming off accidentally. There are cutouts for the camera/headphones/flash/and USB, and they seem precision cut - they align perfectly. There are raised parts on the sides that sit over the power and volume controls and are comfortable to use.

The case itself does add a couple of mm to every dimension of the phone, but this is the price you pay for protection. There is also a lip around the screen, but I haven't found this to be a problem. The rubber is thick enough to protect against most knocks. Only downside is that the Nexus S looks more conventional with it on - it gets mistaken for an iPhone more often than I'd like now! Recommended.
