GOOD READING SO FAR, 30 Aug 2012
There is nothing more enlightening and most interesting than to know that we in our daily walk with God, empowered by Him, can hinder and destroy our enemy. Reading the Prologue of this Book, I found it intriguing and it left me with an eagerness to continue reading with expectation.
Chapters 1 and 2 however highlighted the consciousness, an awareness to reflect on whom we were in the past thus the recognition of the level of how far we have journeyed despite trials and challenges, encouraged by the enemy, in our lives. It opened our eyes to what we have to do to safeguard our stability in our belief and how to act in accordance with God's will.
Chapter 1 pontificates our personal knowledge of what we could, would and should do for ourselves, secretive with our plans from others, not excluding the gratification of our doing whatever we were led to do. It determined the realization as to what is meant by `leaning not on our own understanding' but to trust God. After all we are knowledgeable of the capabilities of the enemy.
Chapter 2 encapsulates the `who we are' in Christ, the renewing of our minds and the thirst to live the kingdom life as demonstrated by the Apostles especially Paul. The Author focussed here on bringing to mind our gifts, talents and purpose which realistically can be hindered by the enemy. He has clearly sent the signal of how best we should seek the synchronization of our lives with God's agenda and plan for our lives in order to fight against the principalities and powers of the enemy. Also it is understood that as God's children we are blessed to fight the battles which are constantly perpetrated by the enemy.
Looking forward to the continuing chapters.
