Absolutely loved this book and it has changed how i approach network troubleshooting. I found working through the real life packet captures in the book cemented tcp/ip topics i'd previously read but not fully grasped in practice. At under 300 pages i was able to complete the book even with a busy schedule. I use the techniques within almost daily and highly recommend.

Decent enough book but most of the info you need to pass this exam is on the switch and route materials themselves. There are a few smaller topics at the beginning of this book not covered in those but most of the rest of this book deals with issues you would already be familar with from reviewing route and switch.

Not essential to pass the exam but still helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Written Study Guide, 10 May 2011
This book is well written and an engaging read on some subject matter that could be more than a little dry in the wrong hands. Definitely recommend this if you're taking the exam or even if you just want a broad introduction to info security in general.

Very readable.

7 security domains divided into 7 chapters each by a different author results in a some overlap as each tries to give a general overview of info security and how it relates to their domain.

In some domains the topics are covered almost essay in style and you'll have to dig out the details. Theres some good info in the book, its just not presented in the most readable manner. Found it a bit of a slog in places.

Mixing Audio: Concepts, Practices and Tools
Mixing Audio: Concepts, Practices and Tools

Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Best i've read on the subject, 22 Dec. 2010
This book is incredibly well written and has vastly improved both the quality of my mixes and my understanding of some of the more technical aspects involved.

The explainations of some complicated subjects are clear and simple to grasp plus are backed up by audio examples on the accompanying cd.

The book is suitable for any musical genre and i can't recommend high enough.

Can't really add anything that hasn't been said in previous reviews but can add yet another 5* rating to the list. My favourite Metallica album and one of the best metal albums of all time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Invaluable guide, 5 Jan. 2010
This review is from: London's Best Pubs (Paperback)
This is a great guide to some of London's best pubs and a bit of the history of each. In the main section pubs are grouped by geographic location but at the front there is also a handy list of which ones are best suited for a number of topics including food, music, history, garderns, riverside and even open fires and more.

Clearly a lot of thought has gone into this guide, maps with all pub locations are included and even has a tube map on the back page.

5/5 - Hits the ground running and doesn't let up, every track outstanding, every track with a character of its own. Whilst remaining sufficently pounding this album somehow still manages to groove like hell.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hunger Strike, 5 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Temple Of The Dog (Audio CD)
Worth getting just for Hunger Strike. Unfortunately for me this track is so head and shoulders above the rest it makes everything else sound plodding.

I'm a big Soundgarden fan and like my fair share of Pearl Jam but found alot of the tracks ballad-ish and quite self indulgent. This isn't particularly surprising given the reason for the albums existence, just not really to my personal taste.
