Fierce Loyalty (The Five Kingdoms Book 5)
Fierce Loyalty (The Five Kingdoms Book 5)

4.0 out of 5 stars An Enjoyable Read, 31 Aug 2013

A worthy continuation of the story of Zollin and Briana and their quest to fight the evil that threatens the Five kingdoms. It is full of surprises especially the development of the part played by the Sorceress in the confrontation with the Torr. I look forward to reading the next book in their adventures. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating was the distracting problem caused by occasionally using wrong character's name instead of Wilam, which should have been picked up by proof readers. However this in no way takes away from the enjoyment of this book.

Highly entertaining story that kept me absorbed in the fantasy world that the writer has constructed. I couldn't wait to see what happened next in the story of Hadrian and Royce. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Brilliant

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable intriguing book, 19 May 2013

The first book of this trilogy starts quite slowly in order to establish locations and the main characters. I soon got drawn into the dystopian world of Nicodemus and the other characters and found it hard to put down. The premise and magic involved reminded me very much of another brilliant book,'The raw shark texts' and I enjoyed it just as much.
I found also that the book itself was well published and flowed without the major errors that are so distracting and off-putting in some of the self published books by other " "writers" currently available
I am looking forward to reading the next book in the trilogy.

This is well written and enjoyable... The sort of book that you want to read more than once. Apart from the actual fantasy being worth reading, I have to mention the quality of the book itself which has clearly benefitted from having the services of good publishers and so makes the reading experience a joy!

2.0 out of 5 stars not to my taste, 19 May 2013

I can only give this book a possibly over generous two star rating as I found it repetitive. The writing style was off-putting and was reminiscent of students' rushed and slightly disjointed notes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Novelty and storyline well worth reading!, 19 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fascinating premise and well written without the glaring errors found in so many other books in this genre. The concept behind the original magics of these cities made reading the story interesting, worthwhile and very different from the usual. It will appeal to those who enjoy political intrigue and battles with a touch of romance approached from a highly original stance. It is not in anyway predictable fantasy fare and once the characters and locations are established, the story of young Nicodemus Weal and his companions kept me engrossed

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth reading, 13 April 2013
This book was enjoyable and I became involved in the stories of the main characters wondering what else would befall them. It ended far too quickly for me and left many threads unresolved in my opinion so I hope the story continues elsewhere in another book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, 6 April 2013
This is an absorbing continuation in Crossroads trilogy and well worth reading. As usual Kate Elliott has managed to craft a storyline that is well written with numerous strands that intertwine; even the subsidiary players in this story are well characterised. I cannot wait to find out what happens to all the major characters and how their interwoven stories will end to the readers' satisfaction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable reading, 30 Mar 2013
This is another well written book which gradually lures you in until you start wanting to know what will happen next. It is initially slow moving as the characters, cultures and backgrounds are explained but before you know it, the author has woven a web of tales within one major over-arching tale that I personally found gripping. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

A Night of Dragon Wings (Dragonlore Book 3)
A Night of Dragon Wings (Dragonlore Book 3)
Price: £2.49

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly enjoyable, 4 Mar 2013
The final book in the trilogy provided a slightly sad but enjoyable ending to the story of Elethor, Lyana, Mori and Bayrin as Solina and her hellish army finally get their just deserts. Daniel Arenson has created a world in Requiem and the accompanying lands that keeps you engrossed in the story until all too soon you turn the final page.
Personally I would have preferred less fighting and the abyssal creatures, the Nephilim are the stuff of nightmares but that does not detract at all from the story of the Dragons of Requiem and I would urge all who enjoy tales of Dragons and other fantasy creatures to pick up the first book in the Dragonlore Trilogy and continue till they reach the last page of A Night of Dragon Wings
I look forward to reading future uplifting tales of the Vir ; and other books by Daniel Arenson
