5.0 out of 5 stars Snuggle Up..., 16 July 2009

A robust quality book with bright full page photo pictures throughout. Opposite each picture page is clear simple text. The matt cover and internal gloss pages are sturdy wipe clean board. Number 6 in a series. Upsy Daisy "Upsy Daisy wants to sing". All lovely traditional books which allow imagination to flourish, as they do NOT have noisy buttons to press. The other titles:-

1.Igglepiggle "All aboard the Ninky Nonk!"
2.Upsy Daisy "Ooh, pretty flower!"
3.Makka Pakka "Time to wash faces!"
4.Tombliboos "The happy waving game!"
5.Igglepiggle "The bouncy jumping game!"

Measurements approx:-
Height and Width just under 7"
Depth 1/2"

The entire series is delightful, each one a whole mini story. My little one still returns to them frequently, over a year after purchase. Pleasure is had looking at them with the cuddly little In the Night Garden friends and sometimes snuggling up to have them read. In time these will be ideal for early paired reading, later solo reading. Without hesitation we highly recommend them all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pooltastic!, 16 July 2009

Very well made, quality product. Easy to inflate but you will need either an electric pump or hammer/ hand pump. I recommend you purchase a pump which deflates too as this takes an awful lot of air to inflate! The floor and each of the three rings are inflated separately. This comes with a 'peel & stick' repair patch.

Once inflated the floor has superb cusioning and there is a sturdy plug to drain the water. The sides are very substantial both width and height, covered with brightly coloured sea creatures. Great to peep through and pretend you are in the sea with the fishes! Adults can safety watch easily too.

Purchased as a ball pool for my pre schooler, we initially filled this with 500 ball pool balls. We thought that would be plenty and ended up adding another 500. With 1000 balls it's brilliant! They come up just past the top of the second ring. Having that gap from the top helps keep then in... apart from when thrown out! Sometimes we pile in all the soft toys instead for a cuddly dimension. Brilliant for rainy days when splashing in puddles has been exhausted. If used inside, this takes up quite a sizable space. I measured this out before purchase, but my mind didn't fully picture the space needed when inflated!

Equally superb filled with water. We sit ours on a 'larger than the base' piece of foamy grass protector found in camping shops. This gives the base protection and prevents the lawn becoming a quagmire. Absolutely highly recommend this delightful multi use pool for use right through the year.

This review is from: Fantacolour Junior Basic (Toy)
Quercetti FantaColor Junior BASIC consists of:-

* One transparent board, large holes. Approx LENGTH 29cm/just under 11 1/2". WIDTH 23cm/9".
* Two Plastic side stands.
* Eight thin cards, each with a different coloured picture one side and a plain outlined image replicating the coloured picture on the other:- Butterfly, Yacht, Ladybird, Fish, Dinosaur, House, Girl, Apple with Caterpillar.
* 48 large brightly coloured plastic 'pegs' approx DIAMETER 3.5cm just under 1 1/2" and DEPTH 2cm 3/4". There are 12 each RED, BLUE, GREEN and YELLOW.

My little one really enjoys playing with this, either solo or with me. While playing with and observing I feel this is great for colour recognition, matching, patterning, copying, counting, more/less concepts, full & empty board, satisfying, imaginative, visually stimulating and tactile.

I do feel the board, stand and thin cards would not withstand any rough treatment. A rough and tumble toddler would easily break this. Also the side stands keep falling off when any pressure is applied pushing the pegs into the holes, (ensuring the stands were pushed right onto the board in the first place). The stands now remain in the box. The board is used flat on the floor or table, stable therefore easier to push in the pegs.

Plain card is put underneath the transparent board, to create a blank canvas for pictures and patterns. Upturned it makes a super stencil for art and craft too. Taking into acount the negative aspects, I have no regret purchasing this!
