5.0 out of 5 stars A corker!, 24 May 2006
This review is from: Taking The Long Way (Audio CD)
have not yet been able to go a full day without playing it at least once - it was a long time coming, but well worth the wait. It has vibes of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac which I guess is them carrying on from Landslide in Home. Its certainly beautiful and Natalie's vocals are haunting. Listening to this certainly beats revising for exams! Ones to particularly look out for are 'Everybody knows', 'Silent House', 'Taking the Long Way' and of course 'Not Ready to Make Nice' which is just a brilliant way to hit back at all those critics! As with most of the Chick's albums, this one sees a different sound, but as you'd expect it's well executed and really enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 2 Jan 2006
After looking at the reviews of this item on Amazon, i decided it would be perfect for me - and I am so glad i paid attention! The sound quality is great, and it goes way louder than I expected. I didnt realise when i bought it that you can link up a portable CD player and other MP3 Players, which is a greated added bonus! They are small and neat, and will be perfect for commuting between uni and home! Totally recomended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Rowan Atkinson at his best, 26 July 2005
This is without doubt an underappreciated Tv series, which sees Rowan Atkinson at his best. His martian impression is hilarious, and the electricity between him and the other characters is great. As always he uses facial expressions, and gestures to hilarious effect, and puts a large ammount of energy into his performance. Inspector Grim is very funny, especially in the second series when his partner is Boyle played by Mark Addy. James Dreyfus is wonderful as always as well, with his delighfully camp, and childish Goodie. Rudolph Walker is excellent, with classic lines such as "we gave our dog a bad name ~ Collin" His deadpan portrayal just makes it even funnier.
If I was going to be critical i would complain that series one is less funny than series two, and that Habib's character can get a little annoying, but these are minor complaints really. Its a cheerful series, with plenty of laughs, and i recommend it to anyone who loves Rowan Atkinson!

5.0 out of 5 stars A top class album!, 10 Jun 2005
This review is from: Kerosene (Audio CD)
I heard my friend listening to this album and was hooked immediately! Miranda's voice is beautiful and the album has a great range of songs to show this off - from chirpy and upbeat to mellow and reflective. I definitly recommend it to anyone who likes 'real' music!
