2.0 out of 5 stars Incorrect sizing info on product description, 25 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Incorrect sizing information in product description. It says it's suitable for UK 4-9 or EU 38-44, but it is way too big for anyone who is size UK5/EU38.
Returning product would be too much hassle for a pair of socks, so gave them to a foot size 41 friend and told they're OK and roomy...
Disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very easy to set up and decent sound quality, 25 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
You'll need no more than 5 minutes to unwrap and set things up :-)
Speakers were bigger than anticipated, but design is nice, so it's not an issue that they are visible.

We use the speakers to relay music from our media centre in the living room to other parts of the house (eg. kitchen, bedroom) as a permanent fixture, so we're using the power adaptors, which saves the hassle of constantly changing / recharging the 12 AA batteries (6 per speaker).

However if you're going to take the speakers from room to room as you move through the house, then this is really great.
Lightweight, no-brainer controls and good sound.

Reading other reviews, I was worried signal quality would drop when someone would walk in the line of sight, but it's not the case. No signal/volume drop at all, no matter which room we place the speakers in (OK, my home is a small flat, so this probably no major feat, but we have had issues with other products (e.g. bluetooth transmitter signal failing to work properly beyond the room the transmitter was in), so we're quite pleased.

Would recommend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, 18 Dec. 2014

Prompt delivery although I had ordered grey and received khaki instead...sadly my least favourite colour.
Picking error aside, the product does not look as advertised. The fabric looks much thicker on the picture, plus the mittens seem to be so long as to almost reach the model's elbow. In reality, they are much shorter.
Wearable, just not quite meeting expectations...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect, but great specs for the price, 22 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good phone with great specs for the price, screen size in particular.

If you're an Android user, you'll already know the OS is good. (This phone has Android KitKat 4.4.4)

Battery life is standard compared to other smartphones. If you are a YouTube / Netflix user, you'll have to charge it every day. If you're simply browsing/emailing, you might make one charge last 2 days (just about).

The 2 areas where this phone is lagging are:
- screen responsiveness. Could be improved, especially when waking from sleep. I systematically have to enter my PIN twice, as the phone doesn't register all the digits I've typed the first time round. The easy remedy would be to considerably slow down my typing, but this would require to have some patience :o)
- Screen regularly and randomly rotates to landscape for no reason. Frustrating when in the middle of typing something.

Had a Samsung SIII before that. Specs were very similar - only this Motorola G has a bigger screen and is slightly cheaper.
Moto G also has 4G, which is a definite plus if your data carrier provides 4G. Can't say I noticed the difference in speed between 3G and 4G though...

The previous Moto G didn't have a SD slot, so I waited until the manufacturer released this new version. You can't do much nowadays with 8GB or 16GB and when your phone dies (as was the case with my late Samsung SIII which lasted only 6 months owing to a flawed motherboard - a known weakness), you don't want to lose all your data (music/videos,etc...). You want to be able to take the SD card out, insert it in your next (or even old) Android phone and carry on as if nothing had happened.

Aqua Globes - Fill And Push Into The Soil To Water Plants (Pack of 4)
Aqua Globes - Fill And Push Into The Soil To Water Plants (Pack of 4)

1.0 out of 5 stars How someone managed to get such a basic design wrong is a mystery..., 22 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had over half a dozen of those aqua globes over recent years, from various makes and various providers. The first pair came from Poundland and, for the obvious price I paid them, did a wonderful job (and still do)

These aqua globes however, are useless. The diameter of the tube is so wide that when you fill the globe with water and hold it upside down, it empties itself in a matter of seconds (which it shouldn't, had it been properly designed following some very basic rules of physics).

End result: previously healthy plants will drown, as the globe will empty itself of its content in under 2 hours, or a day at best, provided you made an effort to stuff very compact soil into the opening of the tube.

Had it been dispatched by Amazon, I'd have used the super-simple and free return process, where you don't have to call anyone, but I didn't pay attention and this came from another seller. Considering it was about £10, and not willing to waste time with customer services + potentially have to pay for the return, I did not bother.

Steer clear of this item - does not do what it says on the tin.

2.0 out of 5 stars Display and menu not up to the job, 22 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The good:
- small, minimalist design
- wireless
- very large keys - no way you can get a number wrong.
- affordable

The (very) bad:

-the display. Although there is plenty of space for that, the missed call log won't display a whole phone number. You can only see the last 9 digits of the number, which means you don't get the most important piece of info: the area code. Getting the whole number from the log isn't straightforward, which brings me to the second of this phone's shortcomings:

-the menu. Unbelievably frustrating.
Getting to any information takes a lot of keying up or down. After EACH keystroke, brace yourself for this message "Please Wait".
When checking the log, you'd expect to see: Caller's name (if available), caller's number and the date/time they called, all in one glance. Well, not with this phone. As mentioned, very little is displayed on the screen at any one time, so here's how it goes:

-Call Log
"Please Wait"
-OK
"Please wait"
-Details
"Please wait"
-last 9 digit of last caller's phone number flash (so you're none the wiser), quickly replaced by the date/time of the call, so you didn't get a chance to make a note of the partial number you got. Partial number and date/time will keep flashing in turn.

To get the details of the caller before that? You'd think all you'd have to do would be carry on keying down the list. Ha! If only...

We've found that the shortest way to get our callers' whole number is to hit "callback", and hang up before it finishes dialing, so that the number is displayed on the screen.

If I was a technophobe, I'd put it down to me not using the phone properly, but I work in I.T. - I deal with new gadgets/devices weekly. Can't recommend this phone.

Cyberjammies Strike A Pose Print Pj Women's Pyjamas Pant Black Mix Size 10

2.0 out of 5 stars comfy but...., 22 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I previously bought a PJ from the same brand - very comfortable to wear so decided to go for a second pair.

Although both the item description and the label on the packaging claim the fabric is "black", what was inside the clear plastic bag was a (very) bright pink tartan pattern... quite the opposite of what I expected in terms of design.

Couldn't be bothered returning it, so gave it away to a young relative who doesn't mind the barbie look.
True to the brand, she confirmed they are comfy to wear, although a bit short if you're an adult (stop above the ankles)

so comfortable one could be tempted to wear it all day on a rainy day when your presence isn't required outside :-)

As mentioned by other reviewers, they are a bit on the short side. Mine stop at ankle level, even though I bought them one size up, hoping it would make up for their short length. Might be standard for pajamas though.

Like the softness of the fabric. Not sure about the checkered pattern, but I tend not to wear them in public, so who cares? Not my other half...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not sure how this can be a best seller..., 17 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Purchased this Triton 5 position showerhead based on the good reviews, and for twice the price of my previous showerhead, which -I thought- was looking past its shelf life.
Was pleased when the new showerhead arrived (speedily, as usual), less so once I got to trial it.

The pressure (compared to my ageing showerhead) is halved, making showering a very frustrating experience, instead of its expected effet, i.e. waking the user up and ready to start the day.

As for the 5 positions it offers, it's nothing but a gimmick. Couldn't find a use for them. Maybe watering blades of grass one at a time under the weak trickle?

Tried 2 other (previously used) showerheads to make sure it wasn't me installing it wrong (though you'd be hard pressed to think of a way one could get something as basic wrong). In both cases, pressure was significantly better. A second trial with the Triton 5 position, same outcome => sent back to Amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars 3 weeks old yet looks like I have had it for 10years, 17 Jan. 2014
The case is a nice fit and also cheap. That's fortunate, considering it went from white to dirty grey in under 3 weeks. I keep my phone (along with its cover) in a Golla smartphone bag. The lining inside the Golla bag is beige (i.e. off-white). I can only assume that it's the lining's colour which has rubbed off on the white silicone case, even though said lining is a clear colour. The samsung casing is now seriously grey in spots, in particular around the microphone and the power button. Never happened before with other cases.

Wasn't planning to do any catwalking with my phone, so no big deal if not looking pristine, but I won't go for that type of silicon gel case next time.
