dont be duped by pseudo history books, 24 Dec 2012
[[ASIN:0753828855 The Lost Empire of Atlantis: History's Greatest Mystery Revealed]
I cant believe people still read his books! I unfortunately wasted money on 1421 and at the time believed it must be true - after all it got published and publishers cant knowingly publish nonsense and present it as factual can they? It does not take a lot of research to find how the book came to be written (and rewritten - not by Menzies) with complete disregard for facts. If it was published as fiction it would not be fraudulent but as it masquerades as history it really is just a con. Don't make people like Graham Hancock and Gavin Menzies richer. Publishers that sell junk history as truth should have to prove the facts within the books or give the money back to all those duped. If the facts themselves are true then authors like Menzies can draw conclusions from the facts and those conclusions can be judged but when the evidence for the theory is not factual then it becomes just a con to get naive readers money.
