This is one of the funniest CDs I have heard for a very long time.
I was totally unaware of Mr Morris et Al, so missed out on his previous shows. I borrowed this CD from a friend and found it hilarious. I have to say that it does cater for a particular audience, i.e. those likely to question whether or not they themselves are on the verge of mental illness because they do they find this very dark humour funny.
In order to enjoy this CD you have to override any sense of morals and what is politically correct. If you are the sort of person that gets all puffed up and indignant because someone has dared to say something non-establishment then you will hate this CD. If however you have a dark sense of humour, then you can treat it as a guilty secret that you can listen to on your own. (You know you shouldn't laugh, but as no one is around to hear you who cares?) This caters to an intelligent if not warped humour, so it may go over the heads of many.
Like any humour I do feel that there is an element of truth in many of the sketches e.g. the dinner party full of pretentious and arty people who actually have little understanding of the world around them and the Doctors Surgery sketches because I suspect some Doctors will want to inject a little levity into their day at the expense of their patients.
Some will find this abhorrent; others will love it.
