2.0 out of 5 stars READ THIS FIRST, 7 Feb. 2012
I HAVE JUST BOUGHT AND THEN TAKEN BACK THIS ITEM TO CURRY PC WORLD. AS A VIDEO CAMERA IT IS OKAY, DECENT EVEN, BUT THE PROBLEM COMES WHEN YOU TRY AND UTILISE THE 12.8 MP STILLS. I TOOK IT BACK AND EXPLAINED THAT EVEN IN GOOD LIGHT THE PICTURES WERE WOEFUL WORSE IN FACT THAN I GOT ON MY BLACKBERRY. HE EXPLAINED OFF THE RECORD THAT ALL POCKET CAMCORDERS IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR CLAIMED MP COUNT SUFFER FROM SUCH A SMALL APERTURE THAT INSUFFICIENT LIGHT GETS THROUGH TO THE SENSOR, SO QUALITY PICTURES ARE NEVER GOING TO BE POSSIBLE. I BOUGHT IT TO DO BOTH WELL BUT ADVERTISING BY SONY FAILS TO MENTION THAT YOU ARE DESTINED TO FAILURE FROM THE OUTSET. SONY PRODUCT ARE USUALLY TOP NOTCH THE MP3 PLAYER I HAVE JUST BOUGHT ALONG WITH THE HEADPHONES BLOW ANY IPOD INTO THE WEEDS BUT THIS IS GARBAGE. MY TIP IF YOU WANT GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT STILLS BUY A HALF DECENT VIDEO CAMERA AND A HALF DECENT DEDICATED COMPACT CAMERA AND PACK BOTH IF YOU ARE GOING AWAY. READ THIS TRUST WHAT I HAVE PUT AND SAVE YOURSELF TIME EFFORT AND FRUSTRATION THIS DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN.

if want a radio that doesn't pick up the internet properly keeps freezing and is way too bright in standby mode then this is the one for you. i have had mine for nearly two years and for the majority of that it hasbeen in FM mode.
i am going to get round to buying another one and wont even sell this thing on, i couldn't put someone else through it. i bought it when it first came out and paid a fair bit for it so i am gutted but even at the price it is here today it is still revo, sorry over priced.
check the clock out for a laugh, we are in the 21st century but i can only compare that clocks accuracy to getting a candle and marking lines down the side or try buying a cockerel. it must lose between 2 and 5 minutes a day.
utter rubbish.

as my drinking has been getting out of hand of late and my good lady has been voicing her concerns i got this glass so that i can limit myself to one glass per night thus keeping myself healthy and within government guidlines. one glass of wine is equal to 2.5 units. as i am allowed 21 units per week that is around 8 glasses. i cant believe that all i had to do to get under the guidline recommendations was to buy this wine glass. it is for these reasons that i heartily recommend you buy this glass, it is a win win situation, i can now get bladdered safely and keep my wife happy at the same time. 5 stars

4.0 out of 5 stars what a shame, 1 Oct. 2010
this review is not designed to put you off buying this jacket. the jacket arrived with lightning speed - within 2 days - and i could not wait to test out its claims. i have been out twice on the pennines in the heaviest rain in years and i can report that i was kept bone dry and warm for the entire time. it is very very good and does everthing it claims.
the problems i encountered were thus; 2 of the pockets had holes in them and when i say holes they are big enough to stop me putting money or keys in, thankfully the large map pocket was not one in question.i would expect a jacket from netto or aldi to be poorly finished but it came as a shock on a top end jacket like this. the worst thing for me and the reason this jacket doesn't get the maximum star rating is the main fastening zip. it is too small and flimsy, and even now after a week of trying it takes 2 or 3 attempts and lots of fiddling about to fasten it. the zip also, because of its size doesnt inspire confidence i am sure the first thing to render this jacket as u/s will be the zip. i have many jackets that have large chunky zips so i know i can be done. to sum up; protection against the elements 5 stars : build and finsh 1 star.
as i said at the top dont let the rubbish zip and the holes in the pockets put you off. it is still a top bit of kit. one more vital point buy the size you realy are, what i mean by that is dont get a large if you are a medium because it will drown you. i am 6ft 2ins and 16.5 stones and the xl is bang on. most jackets i buy are xxl but not in this case.

before you waste your money on this watch let me tell you to buy a casio instead. the watch i bought came with no instructions apart from some useless information about how to use the altimeter. the theremometer is constantly saying it is above 30 degrees C which if it was i wouldnt need a watch to tell me. for the money i paid i have found watches in lucky bags and xmas crackers that do pretty much the same thing. i am probably going to sling mine in the cupboard, i was going to give it my 11 year old but he already has a power rangers one that is better.
dont waste your money, remember buy cheap buy twice. spend 30 quid more and get a casio.
best wishes
karl

this printer is rubbish but then again it proves the old adage you get what you pay for i set it up but within a day it was obvious that this machine is at the bottom end of the bottom end of the market. it is now in my garage waiting for my next trip to the tip. it is so poor i wont even car boot it. amazon would be better placed not selling inferior products because it has put me off. i bought a flip hd camera from the same place and that had half the stuff missing.
do youself a favour and spend a few quid more it will be better economy in the long run. the problem you will have if you buy this rubbish is that when it breaks or your prints look nothing like whats on your monitor what are you going to do. it will cost me more money to send it back than it is worth.
i read the reviews and thought that some of the negative comments were from being being overly picky, but trust me they were right this is rubbish.
it is slow, the loading of paper is more than difficult , the web pages come out in all kinds of weird colours and the noise it makes is what i can only describe as R2D2 and C3PO shagging each other on a sheet of bubble wrap.
it is with a heavy heart that i write this as amazon was once my hero, but it appears that even it has become victim to todays trend of peddling stuff that wont last in the throw away world we live in.
if you want this printer after reading this then you can HAVE mine, as i am going to skip it.
i have only 2 more suggestions to make to you, 1 get about 70 quid out of your wallet and 2 go to PC world.
best wishes
karl harrison.
